Regular keeting of the Board of Commissioners november 20, 1950. Fleet-
ing was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was cil led and Commissioners King,
Price, Ramsey, Stephesnon and 1Vebb and City Attorney Clark responded.
Approving "Proposed Zoning District Map"; and also approving a minimum
street width of sixty feet, with not less than thirty-two feet from curb to curb
in new additions to the City. Commissioner Price moved to accept. Motion adopted.
Recommending that, that portion of north and south alley commencing at
the north line extended East of Lot 115 on Eighth Street in the Original Town of
Salina, thence South to the south line extended east of said lot, not be vacated.
Commissioner Price moved to accept. notion adopted.
Recommending that guest 50 feet of Lots 27 and 29, in Block Nine (9),
Riverside Park Addition not be rezoned from "A" Residential to 'B" Residential.
Commissioner Price moved to accept. Motion adopted.

The minutes of the Canvassing Board Meeting of November 10th, 1950 and
Regular Meeting of november 13th, 1950 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introdu:;ed for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for t he vacation of a certain public alley, subject to reservations with-
in the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had: Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and VYebb (5) Nays: (0) I.fiayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5520.

creating and defining certain lateral sanitary sewer districts in the City of Salina,
Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 255 and 256 and pro-
viding for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers a.n said Lateral Sanitary
Sewer Distri:.ts idWmbered 255 and 256, so created and providing for the payment of
the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in
said districts for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing
of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and debb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is !lumbered 5521.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: King, 'rice, Ramsey, Stephenson and 'vYebb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-515.
Topic of extending City Limits near new High School was brought up, but
no decision reached, and was put on agenda for December 11th, 1950-
D. N. Turner submitted Audit Bid of X1550.00 for the year 1950. Commis-
sioner Price moved to approve and authorize Mayor to sign contract. Carried.

No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning from "D" Light In-
dustrial to "E" Heavy Industrial, a triangular piece of ground owned by the Missouri
Pacific Railroad Company, which lies south of the Missouri Pacific Tracks, north
of Aorth Street and Nest of Ohio Street.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the removal of certain lands in the City of 'Salina, Kansas from the
"D" Light Industrial District as that district is defined by -Section 6 of Ordinance
lumuer 3188 and said ordinance as amended, and for the inclusion of said lands in
the "E" Heavy Ind ustrial District as that district is defined by Section 7 of
Ordinance Number 3188 and providing for the proper uses thereof." Ordinance was
referred to t he Board of Commissioners.
The following letters were presented from the City Planning Commission:
