Regular iw.ee ing of the Board of Commissioners November 13, 1950. Ideeting
was called to order by Layor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King,
Price, Ramseur, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Leeting of November 6, 1950 were read and ap-
proved as read.
RegU_ar Zoning Ordinance was discussed. Action on same held over for
sixty days, (January 15, 1951).
City Manager reported on petition for the vacation of north and south
alley in Blcck 15, South Park Addition.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the vacation of a certain public alley, subject to reservations,
within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." Ordinance was referred to
• the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the vacation of a portion of a certain street in the City of Salina,
Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner i'rice the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) kayor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5518.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
levying a license tax upon pursuing a certain calling, business and occupation,
and providing penalties for the violation thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes. Ki.ig, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and iebb (5) iAays: (0) ILayor
approved ti -e ordinance and it is numbered 5519.
A resolution relating to tI,e issuance of Temporary iVotes in the amount
of 0904.88; :4822.05 and $1633.66.11
On-: otion of Commissioner Price the resolution was approved as read and on
its firialadoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Iaayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 1197.

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining certain lateral sanitary Sewer Districts in the City of
Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 255 and
256 and providing for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers in said Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 255 and 256, so created, and providing for the
payment of the cost thereofand for the levying of special assessments against the
property insaid districts for the payment of the cost of such construction and
f>r the issuing of bonds to pay tI,e cost thereof." Ordinance was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
Application for Cereal Cult Beverage License was presented from Herman V.
Rummel, d/b/a "The Buffet" at 217 North Santa Fe Avenue. Commissioner trice
moved that application be approved and license granted. Liotion adopted.
Petition was presented for sewer to serve Lots 91 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block
7, Sunrise Add -tion. Petition was referred to the City Zranager.
Group of people appeared, regarding the extension of City Limits near the
High School. Discussion was had for and against, but no decision was reached
new
or vote taken, and it was decided to have further discussion at next meeting of
ivovember 20th, 1950.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
