Regular Leeting of the Board of Commissioners November 6, 1950. Meeting was
called to order by Mey or King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price,
Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular ivieeting of October 302 1950 were read and approved
as read, also Special Meeting of October 30, 1950.
Building Application Number 2903 presented from Ray Worcester. Commissioner
Price moved to approve. Carried.
Commissioner Stephenson made motion ti.at ordinance be placed on first read-
ing levying a license tax of $50.00 for each six months, for the selling at auction
wholesale new or used automobiles or trucks within the City of Salina, Kansas. Said
license tax tote payable semi-annually from January 1, 1951. Carried.
consid�.-ration was given regarding the extension of City limits near the
new High School, and it was to be further discussed iJovember 13, 1950.
Combination Gas Fitters and Plumbers Bond was presented from Eldon M.
Silver. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board. of Commissioners.
Carried.
A petition was presented for the paving of Johnstown Avenue from Penn Avenue
to Columbia avenue. Referred to the City Manager.
A petition was presented for the curbing and guttering of Wilson Street from
Fifth Street to Third Street. Referred to the City Manager.
City Engineer filed Final Estimate in the amount of X1633.66 to H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for Lateral Sanitary Sewers slumbered 251 and 252, known as Job
Number 266. On motion of Commissioner Price approved by the Board of Commis-
sioners. Carried.
City Lngineer filed Final Estimate of Cost for Lateral Sanitary Sewers Num-
bered 251 and 252, known as Job Number 266. On motion of Commissioner Price
approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
City Engineer filed Partial Estimate Number 1 in the amount of $4822.05 to
H.J . Taylor Construction Company for the construction of Storm Sevier, known as Job
Number 269. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey approved by the Board of Commis-
sioners. Carried.
Partial Estimate Number 1 in the amount of $7901.88 to H. J. Taylor Construc-
tion Company for curbing, guttering and paving improvements, known as Job Number 268,
was filed by the City Engineer. On motion of Commissioner Price same was approved
by the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriat on for
the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption throll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
King, Ramsey, Utephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) i�iayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered A-514.
Commissioner Stephenson made motion that City Attorney give notice to W. C.
Williamson and Glen Cruce, d/b/a "The Buffet" at 217 North Santa Fe Avenue, to appear
on November 20th, 1950, and show cause why their Beer License should not be revoked.
Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
