Regular keeting of the Board of Commissioners October 16, 1950. Meeting
was c alled to order by Mayor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price,
Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. City
Attorney Clark absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 9, 1950 were read and approved
as read.
Petition was presented from Earl C. Keltner to vacate a part of West Kirwin
Avenue next to Lot 6, Block 3, Beverly kan or Addition, ten feet wide. Referred
to City Planning Commission.
Bryan Hoffman and C. E. Corum appeared before the Board of Commissioners
regarding application for Automobile Dealers Auction Sales License. Commissioner
4tiebb moved to refer to City Attorney to write an ordinance for selling cars at auction
to dealers only and present at October 23rd Meeting.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending that the
north and south alley in Block 6, Phillips East Salina Addition be vacated.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and that ordinance be introduced for first read-
ing.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the vacation of a certain portion of a certain public alley within the
City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." Ordinance was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending that alley
running north and south in Block Seven (7), Sunnyside Addition, Salina, Kansas,
adjoining Lots One (1)' to Twelve (12) inclusive,' not be vacated. Commissioner
Price moved to accept recommendation. potion adopted.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending that
triangular piece of ground owned by the Missouri Pacific Railroad Company, which lies
south of the Li.ssouri Pacific tracks, north of North Street and West of Ohio Street
be rezoned to "E" Heavy Industrial. Commissioner Stephenson moved to accept
recommendation and City Clerk give thirty* days notice in the official City paper.
?Motion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the pig-ment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final doption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and IVebb (5) Nays: (0) blayor approved the
ordinance and it is Numbered A-512.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
