Regular Tweeting of the Board of Commissioners October 9, 1950. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Stephenson, the roll was called and Commissioners
Stephenson, Price, Ramsey and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioners King
and 'Webb absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of October 2, 1950 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the
construction of a certain storm sewer in the City of Salina, heretofore designated
as Storm Sewer Engineering Job Humber 269 and providing for the issuance of tempo-
rary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Stephenson, Price and Ramsey (3) mays: (0) Commissioners ling and Webb
absent. Acting :-:payor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5515.
Chas. Shaver, Architect, filed Estimate Number 6 in the amount of $630.00
to Gate Plumbing Company for Fire Station Job. Approved by Commissioner Ramsey.
Carried.
The following petitions were filed by the Home Development Company:
Curb and gutter Cloud Avenue.
Lateral Sewers in Kraft I;Ia.nor Addition.
Petitions referred to the City Manager.
ret.Ltion filed by Breon, '�illiams and Peatling for vacation of alley north
of Republic Avenue, between Second and Front, adjoining Lots One (1) to Twelve (12)
Block Seven (7) Sunnyside Addition. Referred to City Planning and Zoning
Cormwu ssion.
City Engineer filed plans and specifications .for Lateral Sanitary Sewers
Numbered 255 and 256. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey approved by the Board
of Commissioners. Carried.
Petitions that had been checked and returned by City Manager for curb and
gutter in Kraft Manor Addition were brought up for Resolution, but on roll call failed
to Get majority vote.
The appraisers reports for Lateral Sanitary Sewers Ilumbered 249, 250, 251,
252, 233 acid 254 were filed, and on motion of Commissioner Ramsey, Londay, October
30th, 1950 at 7:30 o'clock P. I. was designated as a Special Leeting at which time
the reports will be taken up and acted upon by the Board of Commissioners , and that
City Clerk give notice of such Meeting in the official City paper as provided by
law. Lotion a dopted.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
