Meeting was called to order by Mayor King, the roll was called and Commissioners King, ?rice, Ramsey and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Stephenson absent. The minutes of the Regular Ikeeting of September 11, 1950 were read and ap- proved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the C_ty of Salina, Kansas, in the "D" Light industrial District as that district is defined by Section 6 of Ordinance ,umoer 3188 and providing for t he proper use thereof." On motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was c-&lldd and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Webb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Stephenson absent. • E:ayor approved the ordinance and it is 'numbered 5508. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for the construction of a certain storm sewer in the City of Salina and pro- viding for the letting of contract for such construction and for the payment of the cost thereof." A resolution was introduced entitled: "A Resolution relating to the issuance of Temporary Notes in the amount of $3910.35 and $1848.79." On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey and Webb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Stephenson absent. Referred to the City Llanager. Concrete Construction Bond was presented from Vim. J. Robertson and on motion of Commissioner ?rice approved by the Board of Commissioners. Pet..tions were presented from H. Iu. Ziegler to make tests for natural Soft '04ater. Held for meeting of September 25th and City Manager to give report on subject. An ordinance was introduced i'or first reading entitled: "An ordinance r creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer districts in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts numbered 255 and 256, and providing for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewers in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts riumcered 255 and 256, so created and providing for the paymentof the • cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said districts for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuance of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
