was called to order by '.iayor King. The roll was called and Commissioners King,
Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded.
City Attorney Clark absent.
The minutes of the Regular Tweeting of August 14, 1.950 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
regulating parking on a part of a certain street in the City of Salina, and provid-
ing a penalty for the violation thereof."
Onrwtion of Commissioner rrice the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Kiiig, rrice, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) frays: W) mayor approved the ordi-
• nance and it is numbered 55J3.
An ordinance was inuroduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the curbing, guttering and graying of Wilson Street from ti.e east line
of Front street to the center life of Sunrise Drive; Stack Avenue from the center
line of Ohio Street to tVhe east line of Delaware Avenue; Delaware Avenue from the
south li-,:e of Gypsum Avenue to t he north line of Stack Avenue; Lorningside Drive from
tiLe east line of iront Street to t fie east line of benison Road; Kenison Road from the
north 1 ine of :_crningside Drive totrie north line of utiilson Street; Connecticut
kvenue frog: the south 1 ine of Gypsum Avenue to the north line of Stack Avenue; and

A resolution was introduced i:or first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to and directing; ti.e institution of an action to terminate the illegal use
of Lot Fourteen (14) on ninth Street, in Bishop Addition to the City of Salina, rsansas."
Resolution was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
A petition was presented protesting the proposed bus schedule for the iron
Avenue bus. Comzrdssioner Webb moved that Salina Transit Company provide for
twenty :unute service from 6:40 A. Iw. to 6:30 P. lei. and forty minute service from
6:30 r. i,4. to 11 o' clocks. Tei. liotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance provid-
ing for the reopening of a vacated portion of Seventh Street in the City of Salina,
Kansas, pursuant to the provisions of Section 13-443 General_ Statutes of Kansas 1935,
,i said portion having been heretofore vacated by Ordinance Number 2152 of said City
and providing; for t- he repeal of said Ordinance Number 2152 s.nsofar as the same is in
conflict herewith." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of
Salina, prescribing the corporate limits of said city and repealing Section 2 of
Ordinance Number 5383•" Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

of Twelfth and .1Iamilton and Twelfth and harsh. Petition was referred to the

of Grand Avenue and for the curbing, guttering, paving an:: grading of Iron Avenue
from the east line of Lelaware Avencue to t he east line of iu;arymount Road; Jewell revenue
from the east line of Osborne Avenue to the east line of Lots 33 and 34 ori Sewell
Avenue, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof, how the sane shall be assess
and the manner of payment of the cost thereof."
