Regular .eeting of the Board of Commissioners July 17, 1950. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Itayor Stephenson, the roll was called and Commissioners
Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and ,rebb and City IIttorney Clark responded. Commissioner
ming absent.
The minutes of the Regular ;meeting of J_ly 10, 1950 were read and approved
as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tc the paving of Eleventh Street from the north line of Harsh Avenue to
the south line of Hamilton Street."
On motion of Commissioner trice the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was calledand the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
Ramsey, Stephenson and. uuebb (4) ivays: (0) Commissioner King absent. Acting
• �,ayor approved the resolution and it is numbered 1188.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating; to the paving of Seventh Street from the south line of Woodland Avenue to
the north line of Grand Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Price the resolution was adopted as read and on
"its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
Ramsey, Stephenson and -ebb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner King abient. Acting
L.ayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1189.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to he curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Jewell Avenue from the east
line of usborne Avenue to the east line of Lots 33 and 34 on Jewell Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption ti.e roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price,
Ramsey, Stephenson and 4ebb. (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner King absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1190.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
• creatin and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina,
I":ansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 254 and providing
for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sevier
District Number 254 so created; and providing for :the payment of the cost of such
construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its finaladoption the roll was called and tl.e following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and 1ebb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
King absent. Acting 11"ayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 549.4.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the
construction of certain Lateral Sanitary Sewers in the City of Salina heretofore
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sevier Districts 251 and 252, and providing for the
issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost tt.ereof pending issuance an(-] sale of
bona s . "
On motion of Commissioner i4ebb the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Price, Ramsey, Stephesnon and viebb (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner King absent.

Building Permit Application PJumoer 2716 was presented from R. L. Ramsey,
erection of a building on the Last 75 feet of Lots 2 and 4, Block 1, IToodland
, known as 216 Last Pacific Avenue. Referred to City Planning Commission.
Application for Cereal ,:alt is everage License for the balance of 1950 was
presented from John B. Bredengerd, d/b/a Burry track Cafe at 153 South Fifth Street.
Commissioner vebb moved that application be approved subject to inspection of Food
and i,ilk Department. Lotion adopted.
Chas. ru. Shaver, Architect, filed Estimate Number 1 in the amount of
.„2520.00 to General Air Conditioning Company for Fire Station Job. On motion of
Commissioner Ramsey estimate was approved by the Board of Commissioners. Carried.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending that 'Woodlawn
Avenue from Eleventh atreet, west tothe city limits in West Evergreen Park Addition
not be vacated. Commissioner Webb moved that recommendation be accepted by the
Board of Commissioners. lotion adopted.

Curb and gutter north side of Claflin from Pershing to Funston;
Curb and gutter Lamar from Third to Fourth;
