called to order b, Acting iiiayor Stephenson, the roll was called and Commissioners
tej)henson, Price, harisey and Vrebb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. Com-
,i.ssioner King and City Attorney Clark absent.
The minutes of the itegular Ideeting of June 12, 1950 were ead and approved
as read.
City tianager reported on petition for sewer to serve Lots 4 to 15 in Block 5,
Beverly i�.anor Addition. uom;iissioner trice moved that ordinance be introduced for first
Carried.
An ordinance was introduced or first reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary serer district in the City of Salina,
K_tnsas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 253 and providing for
the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District
Numuer 253, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the
levying of special assess:eats against the property ins aid district for the payment
of the cost of such construction of and for t- lie issuing of bonds to pay the cost
thereof." Ordinance was referred to tine Board of Commissioners.
City Engineer filed plans and specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer
:1umoer 251. Commissioner Trice moved that same be accepted by the Board of
Commissioners and that City Clerk be instructed to advertise .for bids to be received
up to and including i,onday, July liti,, 1950 at 7:30 o'clock P. a. Lotion adopted.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and
nieces of ;;round in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of curbing, guttering,
paving and grading of Reynolds Street from the center line of ilorth Street to the
center line of Lincoln Street; for tine curbing, buttering, paving and grading of
Seventh Street from the center line of Decatur Street to the center line of Grand
Avenue; and for the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Tenth Street from tine
north line of "doodland Avenue tothe south line of Broadway Boulevard; and relating to
and providing for the collection and payment of such assessments."

ing for the calling and holding of an election of the qualified electors of the City of
Salina, Kansas, to vote upon the question of authorizing the Board of Commissioners of
said city to issue general obligation municipal Bonds of the City of Salina in an amount
of not to exceed ue'360,000.00 for the purpose of paying a part of the cost of construct-
ing and extending works for the purpose of supplying said city and its inhabitants with
water, the nature of said construction and extension being, to -wit: a water softening
plant and appurtenances." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

City Engineer filed Final Estimate of Cost for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number
250. On motion of Commissioner Trice approved by the Board of Commissioners. On
roll call the following vote was had; ayes: Stephenson, Price, namsey and Webb (4)

City Engineer filed Final Estimate in tr.e amount of 082.70 to H. J. Taylor
Construction Company for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 250. On motion of Commis-
sioner I -rice approved by the Board of Commissioners. On roll call the following

A petition was presented for the paving of Seventh Street between 400dland
Avenue and Grand Avenue. Referred to the City Idanager.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
