Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners June 12, 1950. lueeting was
called to order by lviayor Piing, the roll was called and Commissioners King, Price,
Ramsey and Stephenson and Vlebb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. City
Attorney Clark absent.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with Ii. J. Taylor Construction Company for the
construction of certain curbing, guttering, paving and grading improvements on cer-
tain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
Un motion of Commissioner Price the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: King, Price, Ramsey, Stephenson and Vlebb (5) Nays: (0) Mayor ap-
proved the ordinance and it is NLunbered 5479.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance

tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

the ordinance and it is Numbered 5.80.
Cit Manager reported on Appraisers Report for curbing and guttering Third
Street from north line of Republic Avenue to South line of Lot 13, projected west,
• Block 5, Hutcrinson's Addition, approximately 453 feet. This report is a part
of Job Number 253.
Commissioner Price moved to appraise Lots 7:,8;9 and 10, Replat of Blocks
4 and 5, Sunnyside Addition at a value of :500.00 each. Lotion adopted.

of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of curbing, guttering,paving
and grading of Reynolds Street from the center line of ldorth Streetto the center line
of Lincoln Street; for the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Seventh Street
from the center line of Decatur Street to the center line of Grand Avenue; and for
the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Tenth Street from the north line of
Woodland Avenue to the south line of Broadway Boulevard; and relating to and providing
for the collection and payment of such assessments." Ordinance was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.

assessments." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners.

creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sevrer district in the City of Salina,
Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 251 and providing for
the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District
Number 251, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for
the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the
payment of the cost of such construction of and for the issuing of bonds to pay the

cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: King, trice, Ramsey, Stephenson and 'Webb (5) Nays: (0) Puayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5478.

regulating parking on a part of a certain street in the City of Salina, and provid-
ing a penalty for the violation thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.

• Stack Avenue from Delaware to Connecticut;
Connecticut Avenue from Gypsum Avenue to Stack Avenue;
Delaware Street from Gypsum Avenue to Stack livenue.
Commissioner Webb moved that resolutions be introduced for first reading:
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution re-
lating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Stack iivenue from the center line
of Ohio Street to the east line of Delaware Avenue." Resolution was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Itesolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering and grading of Coinecticut Avenue from the south line
of Gypsum Avenue to the north line of Stack avenue." Resolution was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering and grading of Delaware Avenue from the south line of
Gypsum Avenue to the north line of Stack Avenue." Resolution was referred to
the Board of Commissioners.
A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating tothe curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Iron Avenue from the
east line of Delaware Avenue to the east lire of Larymount Road." Resolution was
referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Petition was presented from A. Vr. Dodge for sewer to serve Lots four (4) to
Fifteen (15) Block Five (5) Beverly Ii'ianor Addition. Referred to City Lanager.

City Engineer filed Final Estimates in the amount of 419,471.73 and
o24,988.21 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for Jobs 259 and 260. Approved
by Coriuiiissioner fiebb. notion adopted.
Chas. `. Shaver, Architect, filed Estimate Number 3 in the amount of $495.00
to Cage Plumbing Company for Fire Station Contract. Approved by Gommissioner
Price. Idiotion adopted.
'Xilson and Company, Engineers, filed Estimate Number 13 in the amount of
'10,151.80 to Brown and Brown, Inc. and Johnson Bros. Construction Company for
the construction of Sewage Disposal Plant. Approved by Commissioner 4ebb.

Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending the approval
of Plat and Certificate of the Kraft Ikanor Add -tion to the City of S 1 ina, Kansas.
Commissioner Webb moved to accept and approve plat. Lotion adopted.
Letter was presented from City Planning Commission for approval of Easement
Area in is:orningside Addition. Commissioner Stephenson moved to accept approval
I,.otion adopted.
