Regular Leeting of the Board of Commissioners April 17, 1950. Meeting was
called to order by iayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, King,
Ramsey, Stephenson end Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Ivieeting of April 10, 1950 were read and approved
as read.
A petition was orese:ited from Uiga P. Andreen for the construction of a
sanitary sewer to serve Block 2, r.orn.ngs.Lde Addition. Referred to the City
Lanager.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to 8.nd provldir.g for the curbing, guttering and grading of ILen son Road
from the :north line of i.orn-Lrigs ide Drive to the North line of Wilson :Street."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the resolution was adopted as read and •
on its final adoption tre roil was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, dna, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) :Mayor approved the
resolution and it is ;lumbered 1175.

A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution
relating to -ad providing for the curbing, gutterir:g and gradii.g of ,.crningside
Drive from the East lire of Yront Street to the Last line of Rea son Road."

and on its ficial ado ;tion the roll was called and the following vote vias had;

On motion of Commissioner Ste,)henson tiie resolution was adopted as read

An ordinance was introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the )aynient of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted • '
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had; Ayes: Pri.:e, ting, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) i,ayor
approved the orc inai.ce and it is slumbered A-4)4.

motion of Commissioner Stephe__son same was approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Lotion adopted.
Applicat_on for Cereal Iv:alt Beverage License was presented from Robert Sharp,
and on motion of Conrm.Lssioner Stephenson approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Liotion adopted.
Building Applijation No. 2601 presented from Dean Woods, for Skelley Oil
Company at 106 Broadway. Comidissioner Stephenson moved to approve. Carried.
Petition was presented from L. i. heed for rezoning from "Air to licit
Commerc al the .north 36 feet of lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 5, Elmdale addition and South
36 feet of .-,orth 72 feet of Lots 1, 2 acrd 3 in Block 5, Lliiidale Add tion. Referred to
City Planning Commission.
Letter was preseiited from City Planni:-g Comrri sslon recommending that South
50 feet of Lot 7, Lighlaidjivenue, in Irescott's Addition not be rezoned from "A"
Resu.dent-Lal to "B" h'.es.i.dential. On motion of Corninissioner Stephenson recom-
mendat on accepted by the Board of 6onunissioners.

of Con-assioners and Layor for the ensuing year.

Richard IV. ming was declared Chairman of the Board of Commissioners and Mayor
of the City of Salina, Kansas for the ensui..g year.
Commissioner ming nominated L. F. Stephenson for Vice -Chairman of the Board
of Commissioners and Acting 'ayor of the C- ty of Salina for the ensui g year.
r10 other nominations the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0)
L. F. Stephelson was declared Vice-'Vharxman of the Board of Commissioners and
Acting L,,ayor for the ensuing year.
• On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Letter was presented from the C__ty Planning Comm ssion recommending that
the alley lying next south of Republic Avenue from the East line of Osborne to the
west line of Quincy Avenue not be vacated. On motion of Commissioner riing recom-
mendation accepted by the Board of Commissioners. Motion adopted.
Letter was presented from City Planni_,g Commission recommending that strip
of ;-;round running north and south along the East side of Fourth Street from the
north line of Republic Avenue, north to the South line of Milson Street, said width
being 13 feet from Republic North tothe North line of Lot 11, Replat of Blocks 4
and 5, Sunnyside Add tion and north from said lot line of Wilson Street, width is
7.9 feet, riot be vacated. On motion of Commissioner Webb recommendation accepted
by the Board of Commissioners.
A letter was presented from City. Planniag Commission regarding petition of
the Robinson 1�dlling Company to re -open a portion of Seventh Street vacated by ordi-
nance Lumber 2152 of the City of Salina, stating they feel, this is not a matter for
them to dec_Lde. No action taken by the Board of Commissioners. Filed for
future business.
City E..bineer filed plans and specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Dumber

24). Conunissioner Stephenson moved to accept and City Clerk instructed to advertise
for bids to be received up to and including I'ionday kith, 1950 at 7:30 o'clock t'. L.

247 and .:ain Sewer "X". Commissioner ,Ling moved to accept acid hold hearing
-ay uth, 1950 at 7:30 o'clock P. Pl. Motion adopted.
The chair and gavel was turned over to Harold r,. Peterson, Deputy City Clerk.
