Meeting was called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, King and Ramsey and Acting City Attorney Yordy responded. Commissioners Stephenson and Iiebb and City Attorney Clark absent. The minutes of the Regular 1vieeting of April 3, 1950 were read and approved as read. N. V. Iaybrier and Angela iiiaybrier filed petition for rezoning from "A" Residential to "D" Residential, Lots 25, 26, 27, 28, 29 and 30 in Block 5, Stack's Addition. Referred to'City Planning Commission. E. L. Larson appeared and filed plat for Home Development Company of Salina, Inc., to be taken into City limits as follows: North 410 feet of 11V 1/4 of 1\5Y 1/4 of Section 25, Township 14, South, Range • 3, Vuest of the 6th P. L. in Saline County, Kansas. North 410 feet of NE 1/4 of MV 1/4 of Section 25, Township 14, South, Range 3, 1Yest of the 6th i'. I%. in Saline County, Kansas, lying west of Union Pacific Railroad, including that part of "South Lynn" a subdivision in Saline County, Kansas, heretofore platted, which lies within the land last hereinabove described, and as to which said portion of said "Sout Lynn" is heresy replatted. To be called "The First Kraft I'vianor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas. Referred to City Planning Commission. Lrnest Hampton and Vice President of International Ivalling Company appeared and presented their story regarding the petition of Robinson :filling Company to reopen Seventh Street vacated by Ordinance Number 2152 of the City of Salina, Kansas. Commissioners will make decision whenever 1jr. Steiger, the Vice President can be present7with full Commission. Commissioner 1d ng approved plans with setback the same as the other structure on lot or house on corner for Wm. H. Long at 408 East Pacific. Building Application Number 2568. Carried. City Engineer submitted Estimate Number 3 in the amount of $4855.62 to 11. J. Taylor Construction Company, for curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Job Number 260. Approved by the Board of Commissioners. Application for Cereal Lialt Beverage License was presented from Robert Sharp, d/b/a Jimmie's Canteen at 121 East Walnut Street. Action on same held over. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance creating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 249, and pro- viding for the construction of a lateral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary . Sewer District Number 249, so created, and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in said district for the payment of the cost of such construction of and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Price, King and Ramsey (3) iJays: (0) Commissioners Stephenson and V�ebb absent. kayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5460.
