Regular Leeting of the Board of Commissioners April 3, 1950. Meeting was
called to order by 1ayor Price, the roll was called and Commission rs Price, King,
Ramsey, Stephenson and yUebb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 27, 1950 were read and approved
as read.
Wilson & Company, i�ngineers, filed Estimate Number 11 in the amount of
U3,834.27 to Brown & Brown, Inc., and Johnson Bros. Construction Company. Commis-
sioner Ramsey moved that Estimate be approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Motion adopted.
Applications for Cereal 1alt Beverage License for the balance of 1950
received as follows:

A. A. Dandurand 117 South Fifth Street Dan's Tavern .
Commissioner Stephenson moved that applications be approved and license
granted. IJiotion adopted.
A petition was presented protesting against the making of Fifth Street
from Ash Street to Vualnut Street a one-way street. Ordered filed.
Petition was presented from Gail k1orrison for the vacating of a strip
of ground running north and south along the east side of Fourth Street from the
north line of Republic Avenue north to the south line of Wilson Street. Said width
being 13 feet from Republic north to north line of Lot 11, Replat of Blocks 4 and 5
Sunnysl.de Addition and north from said lot lines to Wilson Street, width is 7.9
feet. Referred to City Planning Commission.
Petition was presented for the curbing and guttering of:
Stack Street from Delaware Street to Connecticut Avenue,
Connecticut Avenue from Gypsum Avenue to Stack Street, and
Delaware Street from Gypsum Avenue to Stack Street.
Petition was referred to City Manager and City Engineer.
Petition was presented for the curbing and guttering of Lamar Street
from Fourth Street to 'third Street. Referred to City Manager and City
Engineer.
Petition was presented for a sanitary sewer on Lamar.Street from Fourth
Street to Third Street. Referred to City Manager and City Engineer.
Petition was presented for water main on Lamar Street from Fourth Street •
to Third Street. Referred to City lranager and City Engineer.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
levying special assessments against certain property to pay the cost of construct-
ing certain water service pipes in certain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and 'hebb (5) mays: (0) i'tiayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 5458.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas, in the
"C" Commercial District as that district is defined by Section 5 of Ordinance No.
3188 and the amendments thereto and providing for the proper use thereof."
On motion of Commissioner'Webb the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had: Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) Iviayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5459.
An ordinance was introduced entitled: An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was •
had; Ayes: Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) iviayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-493.

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A hesolution relat-
ing to the curbing and guttering of Wilson Street from Bast line of Front Street to
center line of Sunrise Drive." Referred to the Board of Commissioners.
Building Application Dumber 2568 was presented from Wm. H. Long for the erection
of a building on the Hast 40 feet of Lot 1, Block 5, Woodland Avenue (408 East Pacific
Avenue) for set -back approval. held over for investigation.
Mrs. C. vu. Stevens appeared about rezoning at 629 Highland Avenue to 'B"
Residential. Advised to file petition for her property to be referred to City
Planning Commission.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
