Leeting was called to order by Acting ivayor Stephenson, the roll was called and Conurdssion- ers Stephenson, King, hamsey and Webb and Assistant City Attorney Yordy responded. Commissioner Price and City Attorney Clark absent. The minutes of the Regular lv';eeting of January 23, 1950 were read and approved as read. Commissioner iebb moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading reducing license fee for Yin ball iviachines from :75.00 to 00.00 per year, effective January 1, 1950, c:ay able semi-annually. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance proved ng for the amendment of Sub Division 1119" of Section 13-101, Revised Ordi- nances of the City of Salina, Kansas, 1948, and providing for the repeal of the original of said subdivision." Referred to the Board of Commissioners. R. H. -Burnett and others, appear�.d before the Board of Commissioners regarding Liquor Distributor License fee of 41250.00 per year. Commissioners made no change in ordinance. Application for Cereal malt beverage License was presented from American Legion Club Post c2. On motion of Commissioner Bing approved by the L'oard of Commissioners. l,,otion adopted. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the amendrnei_t of Section Ten (10) of Ordinance r4o. 5237, and providing for the repeal of the criginal of said Section Ten (10)." On motion of Conunissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption tree roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stephenson, Ramsey, King and Webb (4) .ways: (0) Commissioner Price absent. Acting Layor approved the ordinance and it is slumbered 5448. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the vacation of certain portions of Fourth Street in the City of Salina." On motion of Commissioner King the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Stephenson, King, Ramsey and Viebb (4) bays: (0) Commissioner Price absent. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance prov.i.ding for the removal of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas, from the It III Commercial District as that district is defined by Section 5 of Ordinance No. 31d8 arid said ordinance was amended, arid for the inclusion of said lands in the "D" Light Industrial District as that district is defined by Section 6 of Ordinance ivu. 3118 and providing for the proper uses thereof." Herrick, Director of Alcoholic Beverage Control, relating to the suspension of the following Retail Liquor License for a period of three days effective at 9:00 A. Holm. Commis- sioner Ramsey moved to approve, providing he uses shingle or composition roof and gable, something other than metal, and that same be referred to City Manager before permit is issued. !Motion adopted. Plans for lights at municipal Airport filed by uuilson Engineering Company. Commissioner King moved to accept plans on Airport Lights and set date of February 13, 1950 for bids to be received.
