Regular 1::eeting of the Board of Commissioners December 5, 1949. 1ueeting
was called to order by kayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price,
King, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
the minutes of the Regular meeting of november 281 1949 were read and
approved as read.
Vd. F. Dougherty appeared regarding his Cereal lrialt Beverage License.
Captain Smith and George Johnson, Jr., also appeared and gave evidence. commission-
er King moved tl:at license be revoked, with provision to operate until close of
bL,siness December 10, 1949. Carried.
Applications for taxicab drivers license were presented from:

Corunissioner Stephenson moved that applications be approved and license

On motion of Commissioner iii:ig the ordinance was -read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Price, ming, Ramsey and Ig4ebb (4) Rays: Stephenson (1) Laayor
approved the ordinance a.id it is Numbered 5436.
An ordina_.ce was iritrodu_;ed for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
creating and defini.ig a certain lateral sanitary sower district in the City of
Salina, i�ansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts 246 and 247, and
providing for ti,e construction cf Lateral Sanitary Sewers in sa-d Lateral Sanitary
Districts urrio� red 246 - d 2117, so created and providi lg for the payment of the
cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments against the property in
said districts for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing
of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: rri_e, Bing, Ramsey, Stephe,.son and 'Hebb (5) mays: ('J) mayor approved

An ordinance v;as introduced entitled: "An ordinance making appropriation
for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

the ordinance and it is Numbered A-4131.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and conf-=iirig a contract with the H. J. Taylor Construction Company
for the construction of certain curbing, guttering and grading improvements on
certain streets in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of Temporary
Notes to pay the cost thereof i_.,endin the issuance and sale of bonds." Referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinaice was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying a contract with the H. J. Taylor Construction Company for the construction
of certain curbing, guttering, paving and grading improvements of certain streets
in the City of Salina, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to jay

of Commissioners.
