Meeting was called to order by Mayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price, King, Ramsey, Stephenson and ZVebb and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular meeting of October 24, 1949 were read and approved as read. Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was presented from IV. C. Nichols. Commissioner Stephenson moved that application be approved subject to approval of R. S. Fassnacht. Motion adopted. Application for Taxicab Drivers License was presented from Franklin E. hichichael. Commissioner Stephenson moved that application be approved and license granted. Motion adopted. • No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of the West 47 feet of Lot 21, Beloit Avenue in the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University Addition, plus the 722 feet accruing thereto, from Class "A'! Residential to Class "B" Resi- dential. Commissioner 'Hebb moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas, in the "B" Residential District as that district is defined by Section 4 of Ordi- nance Number 3188 and providing for the proper use thereof." Letter was presented from City Planning Commission recommending that Lots 3 and 5 on Ellsworth Avenue in Kansas 'Nesleyan University Addition be re- zoned from "A" Residential to "B" Residential; and for the rezoning of Lots 15, 17 and 19, Block 10, Pacific Addition from "C" Commercial to "D" Light Industrial. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept recommendations of City Planning Commission, and that City Clerk give thirty days notice of intent to rezone the above men- tioned property. Carried. Application for house Moving Permit was presented from Carney Brothers. Commissioner King moved to approve application. Carried.
