OCTOLER 24, 1949
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners October 24, 1949. Meeting
was called to order by l.iayor Price, the roll was called and Commissioners Price,
ming, Ramsey, Stephenson and Webb and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular l+eeting of October 17, 1949 were read and
approved as read.
Application for Taxicab Drivers License Number 180 was presented and on
motion of Commissioner Stephenson approved by the Board of Commissioners.
Chas. IV. Ingram appeared before the Board of Commissioners regarding
Taxicab Drivers License Number 169. Letter was read from the Chief of Police.
Commissioner Stephenson made motion to return his badge. Carried.
Application for Cereal Malt Beverage License was presented from R. C.
• Jen son. Commissioner Stephenson moved that appli ation be approved and license
granted subject to final okay by R. S. Fassnacht. Carried.
A petition was presented for the curbing, guttering a:id paving on Twelfth
Street between Broadway and 'grand Avenue. Referred to City Manager.
A petition was presented from Eva Velharticky tD rezone the South 1/2 of
Lots 3 and 5 on Ellsworth Avenue in Addition to Kansas Wesleyan University to "B"
Residential. Referred to City Planning Commission.
An ordinance was introduced forsocond reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the inclusion of certain lands in the City of Salina, Kansas in the
"C" Commercial District as that district is defined by Section 5 of Ordinance
number 3188 and the amendments thereto and providing for the proper use thereof."
0n motion of Commissioner Stephenson the ordinance was read and adopted
by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote
was had: Ayes: King, Ramsey, Price, Stephenson and Webb (5) Nays: (0) �,.ayor
• approved the ordinance and it is slumbered 5431.
On motion of Commissioner Stephenson the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

for first reading entitled:
"A Resolution
relating to the curbing and guttering
of Beloit Avenue from the west line of Quincy
Street west approximately 300 feet."
Referred to the Board
of Gommissioners.
