Regular Meeting of the Board of Commission rs November 29, 1955.Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Lake, the roll was called and Co mmissioners Lake, Ramsey and
Wenger and Acting City Attorney Lillard responded. Commissioners Exline and Hawkes
j and City Attorney Clark absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 22, 1955 and Board of Zoning
Appeals Meeting of November 22, 1955 were read and approved as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance cre-
ating and defining certain lateral salitary sewer districts in the City of Salina,
Kansgs, designated as Lateral Lateral Sewer Districts Numbered 329 and 330, and provid-
ing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of special assessments
against the property ins aid districts for the payment of the cost of such construction
and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Lake, Ramsey and Wenger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Hawkes absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6014.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance 5549 and the Zoning District biap therein
and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof."

On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Lake, Ramsey and Wenger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Hawkes absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6015.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing ing to the paving and grading of Eleventh Street , twenty-eight (28) feet wide toe
of gutter to toe of gutter, with concrete, from the north line of Lincoln Avenue to
the south line of Grand Avenue."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Lake,
Ramsey and Wenger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Hawkes absent. Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1636.
The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 32 Resolution Book 6.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for the
improving of Parking Lot Number 3, (Job No. 338) as follows:

City Engineer's Estimate X19,955.00
Commissioner Wenger moved that contract be awarded to L. W. Rexroad and Son,
as per bid submitted in the sum of $19,68l�.50, and check returned to unsuccessful bid-
der. Motion adopted.

A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-

to toe of gutter with two (2) inch hot asphalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock base,
from the west side of Lewis Avenue to the east line of Beatrice Avenue." Resolution
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance creating
and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas,
designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 331 and providing for the construction
of a laterals anitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number
331,
and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levying of specials assess cregted
ments against the property in said district for the payment for the cost of such construc-
tion and for the issuing of bonds to a the cost thereof."

sewers and certain lateral sanitary sewers and storm sewer, in the City of Salina,
Kansas, which bonds shall a designated as Series S-167." Ordinance was referred
to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
authorizing and providing for the issuance of bonds of the City of Salina, Kansas, in
the sum of $120,000.00 to pay the cost of purchasing a site for and erecting and
equipping thereon a public building for such city, to -wit: a public Fire station
X\ within and for the City of Salina, to be designated as Series F-170." Ordinance
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
aut:orizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina,
Kansas, all in the sum of $292,381.66, to pay the cost of improving certain streets
in said city to be designated as Series Nuibir"P-169,0rdinance was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina,
Kansas, in the sum of $56,593.95 to pay the cost of improving certain streets in said
City to be designated as Series Number P--168. Ordinance was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1637.
