On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final•adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Lake, Exline, Hawkes, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 5998.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections'
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;Ayes:

paving certain streets. (Jobs 335 and 336).

for bids to be received up to and including Monday, October 11th, 1.955 at four otclock

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners Uctober lith, 1955. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Lake, the roll was called and Commissioners Lake, hxline,
Hawkes, Ramsey and Wenger, and City Attorney Clark responded.

The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 27th, 1955 and Board of Zon-
ing Appeals Meeting of September 27th, 1955 were read and approved as read.
No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of Lot 22, Beloit Street,
to the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University from Zone "All to Zone "B".

An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled. "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance 5549 and the Zoning Map therein and
thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City
and prescribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board
of Commissioners.

therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within

Taylor Cors truction Company, for Job Number 330.
Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Carried.
Wilson and Company, Engineers, filed Plans and SI -e cifications for River
Intake and Underground Reservoir.
Accepted by Commissioner Exline and City Clerk instructed to advertise for bids

to be received up to and including, October 25th, 1955, at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Commissioner Hawkes made motion to instruct City Gjerk to advertise for bids
for the sale of ;400,000.00 Waterworks Revenue Bonds, Series "CIO, to be receivedup to
and including Tuesday, October 18th, 1955, at four o'clock P. M. Carried.
Commissioner Ramsey made motion to include S+orm Sewer at Ninth Street and
Jewell Avenue in Construction Job. Carried.

Meeting of .Board of Zoning Appeals, October 4, 1955. Meeting was called
to order by Mayor Lake, the roll was called and Commissioners Lake, Exline, Hawkes,
Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded.
Hearing on Board of Education, Notice of Appeal, authorizing the non-compliance
with Section 62 Paragraph area regulations sideyards of Ordinance Number 5549, for
Sunset School Grounds; Sunset Park Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, was taken
up by the Board of Zoning Appeals. Granted.

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating to
the authorization of non-compliance with Section 62 (Paragraph area regulations side
yards) of Ordinance Number 5549, in so far as the same affects the Salina Board of
Education property, known as Sunset school Grounds, in the City of Salina, in Saline
I County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Lake, Exline,
Hawkes, Ramsey and Wenger. (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is
Numbered 1603.

Application of F. J. Reamer for addition to Traco Trailer Court on West
Cloud Street was taken up bytthe Board of Zoning Appeals.
Commissioner Wenger moved to deny. Carried.
