Meeting was called to order by Mayor Wenger, the roll was called and Commissiora rs Wenger, Cobb and Lake and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner Barcafer absent and ICommissioner Cunningham, deceased. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 29, 1954 werei ead and ap- proved as read. 3 In Memoriam Resolution relating to the death of Commissioner Frank Lloyd Cunningham, was introduced and passed. On motion of Commissioner Cobb. the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was, called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Wenger, Cobband Lake (3) Nays: (0) Commissioner Barcafer absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1506. The above resolution is recorded in full on Page 292 Resolution Book Num- ber five. Application presented from Sinclair Refining Company for the construction of driveways, as follows: Two 40 -ft. and one 28 -ft. Broadway and Crawford. Three 40 -ft. Ninth and Claflin. Application approved by Commissioner Lake. Carried. Petition presented for the rezoning of Block 10, Oakdale Addition from Class "A" to Class "B". Referred to City Planning Commission. I City Engineer filed Estimate Number 1 in the amount of y$3,615.53 to Brown and brown, Inc., for street improvements provided for in Job 319. Approved by Commissioner Cobb. Carried. City Engineer filed Estimate Number 1 in the amount of x$18,719.29 to C. N. McCollum Construction Compaly, for sewer improvements provided for in Job 318. i Approved by Commissioner Lake. Carried. City Engineer filed Estimate Number 2 in the amount of X61,502.04 to H. J. Taylor Construction Company for street improvements provided for in Job Number 325. Approved by Commissioner Cobb. Carried. Wilson Engineering Company filed Estimate Number 10 in the amount of $4,944.05, to Melco Inc., for construction of Water Softening Plant. Approved by Commissioner Lake. Carried. Commissioner Cobb moved that hearing on Petition for the rezoning of Lots 37, 38, 39 and 40 on Ellsworth Avenue in The Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, to District "B", be continued to December 13th, 1954. Carried. On motion of Commissioner Lake the Board of Commissioners adjourned. t:�2_ City Clerk City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for the construction of curbing, guttering and paving improvements provided for in Engineer Job 326. Commissioner Cobb moved that Plans and Specifications be approved and City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids to be received up to and including, Decem- ber 20th, 1951 at 7:30 o'clock P. M. Carried.
