The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 12 th, 1954 and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals of April 12, 1954 were ead and approved as read. Petition Number 1437, relating to Zoning Violation at 622 South Ninth Street, was again taken up by the Board oc Commissioners. Commissioner Lake moved that City Attorney take appropriate action. Carried. City Manager reported on Petition Number 1443 for the paving of Phillips Street from Morrison Avenue to Prescott Avenue. j A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relating to t he paving of Phillips Street with 6" reinforced concrete., 28 feet back of curb to back of curb, from ti.e north line of Morrison Avenue t o t he north line of Prescott Avenue." Resolution referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ' providing for the curbing, guttering and grading of South side of Ellsworth Avenue from the east line of Lewis Street to the west line of Ohio Street; for the curbing, guttering and grading of Fifth Street from the center line of Harsh Avenue to the center line of Hamilton Avenue; for the curbing, guttering and grating of the North side of Jewell Avenue from the center line of Ohio Avenue to the Roach Street; i for the curbing, guttering and grading of Lewis S,,reet from the north line of Jewell Avenue, north approximately 128 feet more or less; for the curbing, guttering and gradin of Lincoln Avenue from the center line of Chester Avenue tot he center line of Arthur Avenue; for the curbing, guttering and grading of Missouri Avenue from the south line of Stack Avenue to the south line of Gypsum Avenue; and for the curbing, guttering and grading of the west side of Ohio Avenue from the center line of Ells - wort Avenue to the center line of Jewell Avenue; and providing for the payment of the cost thereof, and how the same shall be assessed and the manner of payment thereof." On motion of Commissioner Barcafer the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final a doption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Wenger, Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham and Lake (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5848. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the paving and grading of Frost Street from the east line of Sherman Street to the east line of Eleventh Street; for the paving and grading of Sunrise Drive from the north line of Wilson Street to the south line of IvicAdams Road; for the paving and grading of Sunrise Drive from the north line of Morningside Drive to the north line of Republic Avenue; and for the paving and grading of Washington Street from the west line of Twelfth Street to the west line of Phillips Street; and providing fort he payment thereof, how the same shallbe assessed, and the manner of the payment of the cost thereof." On motion of Commissioner Cobb the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Wenger, Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham and Lake (5) Nays: (0) laayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5849. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the regulation of the hours and days of operation on and the age of players at certain places of amusement in the City of Salim, Saline County, Kansas, and providing for the amendment of Section 13-1105 and for the repeal of said section, of the Revised Ordinances oft he City of Salina, 1948." On motion of Commissioner Lake the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Wenger, Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham and Lake (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 5850. Carried. Combination Plumbers and Gas Fitters Bond presented from Vohn Ohlemeier. ! Approved by Commissioner Lake. Carried.
