Meeting was called to order by Layor -3arcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners I3arcafer, ' Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of Lurch 15, 19.154 and lUkeeting of Board of Zoning Appeals were read and approved as road. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Lake the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-695• i No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of Lots 1, 2 and 3, Block 2, Santa Fe Park Addition to Class "C" Apartment from Class "B" Second Dwelling. • An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map tlere- in and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property Within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. Letter presentedffrom the City Planning Commission recommending that petition of Vern L. Peatling for the vacation of the alley running from Santa Fe Avenue west in Lot 13, Block 7, Pacific Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, from the west line of Santa Fe Avenue to the east line of the north and south alley in said Block 7, be granted. Petition recommended for approval by the City Planning and Zoning Commission upon the express condition that the Petitioner execute and deliver to the City Commission a dedicatory deed providing for an alley in Lot 13, Block 7, Pacific Addition to the City of Sal ina, I;ansas, that shall be identical with that herein vacated. Approved by Commissioner Wenger. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance providing for the vacation of a certain public alley in the City of Salina, Kansas.'' Ordinance referred to the Board of Commissioners. Letter presented f rom ti- City Planning and Zoning Commission, that Petiticn Humber 1438 filed by J. E. Dugan, for the vacation of the ten -foot alley running north and south in the block bounded by Tenth Street, Eleventh Street , Ash Street and Park right -off --ways for utility purposes 4reet be granted, provided that all easements and bereserved. Approved by Commissioner Cobb. An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance alley, subject to reservations, • providing for the vacation of a certain public within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. An ordinance was introduced for first reading a titled: "An ordinance 5824, with regard to repealing and amending certain portions of Ordinance Number of streets in the City of Salina, Saline County, the vacation of certain portions Kansas." Ordinance was referred to the Board of Commissioners. City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 301. Approved by Commissioner Wenger.. Carried. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded. Notice of Hearing on Mui. L. Forsyth petition to build a Tourist Court and Cabins on Lots 8, 10 and 12, in B lock 4, Episcopal Military Institute Addition, City of Sal ina, Kansas. No protests. Commissioner Lake moved to allow. Carried. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: 4k Resolution relating to authorization of use of certain lots as a tourist courts and cabins within the City." On motion of Commissioner Lake the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) ;Jays: (0) L ayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1448.
