The minutes of the Regular Fleeting of February 8, 1954 were read and approved as tread. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption tKe roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Vienger (5) Nays: (0) kayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-690. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the pair ment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) kayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-691. No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of the West 133 feet of Lot 5, in Block 1, Replat of Beebe's 2nd Addition, and the West 8 feet of Lot 4, Block 1, Replat of Beebe's 2nd Addition, City of Salina, Kansas, from Zone "C" to Zone "D". An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pro- viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District kap therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City of Salina and prescribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance referred to Board of Commissioners. City M -an ager reported on Petition Ilumber 1429 for the paving of Twelfth Street from Charles to Crawford. A resolution was introduced for first reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the grading and paving to a width of twenty-eight (28) feet with two-inch hot :nixed asphaltic concrete, over a six-inch rock stabilized base, of Twelfth Street, from the north line of Charles Street tot he north line of Crawford Avenue." Resolution referred to Board of Commissioners. __Petition presented for the paving of Sunrise Drive from the North line of Wilson Street t o the South line of EcAdams Road. Referred to City kanager. Commissioner Wenger moved that City of Galina, Kansas., renew lease for Blue Jay Ba=1 Park to Salina Recreation for the year 1954• Carried. Commissioner Lake moved that City of 6alina send one elected official and one technical advisor to Vaashington, D. C. on hearing before Flood Control Committee. Carried. An ordinance was introduced for first rea i ng e titled: "An ordinance providing for the inclusion of certain land within the corporate limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, prescribing the corporate limits of s aid City and repealing Section 6 of Ordinance Number 5712.
