COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SAUNA, KANSAS.
JANUARY 18, 1951
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 18, 1951. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Bar cafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Bar-
cafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and jienger and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of he Regular Tweeting of January 11, 1954 were r ead and approved
as read.
Application Number 2, for permit to construct Recessed Parking Area on South
Eighth Street between Iron Avenue and Wal nut, received from L. 0. Austin and Dan G.
Kastner. Commissioner Wenger moved to approve application. Carried.
Application Num")er 3, for permit to construct Recessed Parking Area on the
West side of Santa Fe Avenue between South Street and Prescott Avenue, received from
Asbury Hospital, Dr. Don Dieter and L. H. Wood. Commissioner Wenger moved to
approve application. Carried.
Petition presented for the location of a street light in the middle of the
800 Block on South Fifth Street. Referred to City Manager.
Combination Plumbers and Gas Fitters Bond presented from F. J. Kastner, d/b/a
Salina Plumbing Company. Approved, subject to proper Power of Attorney.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment ofcertain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Lake the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered A-681.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Lake the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its finaladoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-685.

nance and it is Numbered A-687.
Commissioner Lake moved that Wilson and Company, Engineers, be instructed to
make additional changes in Structure Design of Softening Plant for reclaiming Lime
Processing Lquipment. Carried.
On motion of Commissioner Cunningham the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
