Regular Itieeting of the Board of Commissioners September 21, 1953•
Iueeting was c alled to order by I,°.ayor Parcafer, the roll was: called a nd Commission-
ers Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger and City Attorney Clark responded.
The minutes of the Regular l.eeting of September 14, 1953 were read and
approved as read.
City Engineer filed Plans and ape cifi cat ,.ons for curbing, guttering and/or
paving certain street s, (Engineer Job No. 315).
Cormlissioner Wenger moved to approve Plans and Specifications and City Clerk
be instructed to advertise for bids tobe received September 28th, 1953. Carried.
The following petitions were presented and referred to he City Ivianager:
Curb and gutter Fifth from harsh to hariilton.
Curb and gutter yissouri Avenue from Stack to Gypsum.
An ordinance was introduced and passed e titled: "An ordinance making an
appropraition for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Lake the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the followingvote was had;
Ayes: Barcafer, Cobb, Cunningham, Lake and Wenger (5) Jays: (0Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-668.
Letter received from City Planning and Zoning Commission recommending that
area bounded on the south by Cloud; Last by the extension of Ohio; north by the
extension of Claflin and west by Roach Street, be taken into the corporate limits
of the City of Salina, 1t:ansas. Referred to City I.1anager.
Letters received from Chief of Police, h. R. �Ialmans, requesting the
revocation of the following taxicab drivers license:
Anthony iserry
Jimmie D. 6chultz
Commissioner Lake moved that City Attorney give five days notice for
October 5th L`.eeting , to b e revoked.
On motion of Commissioner Cunni.ngltam the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
