Regular 1.1leeting of the Board of Commissioners August 24, 1953. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Barcafer, the roll was called and Commissioners Bar-
cafer, Cobb, Cunningham and Lake and City Attorney Clark responded. Commissioner
Wenger absent.
The minutes of the Regular b>eeting of A..gust 17, 1953 were:ead and approved
as read.
No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of certain property
from "All Residential to "E" General Business, petLtioned for by Lirs. Label Johnson,
528 South Broadway.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
providing for the amendment of 'Zoning Ordinance iJumber 5549 and the Zoning District
!:ap thereby and thereto adopted and prescribing the proper uses thereof." Ordinance
was referred to the Board of Commissioners.
An ordinance was introduced for first reading relating to zoning of Asphalt
Plants.
Commissioner Lake moved that request presented from the Salina Transit Com-
pany for changing bus routes be approved. Carried.

On motion of Commissioner Cunningham the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
