JANUARY 5, 1960
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 5, 1960. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull,
Exlims Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meetingof December 29, 1959 and Board of Zoning
Appeals Meeting of December 29, 1959 were read and approved as read.
City Engineer: filed plans and specifications for curbing, gutte ring and
paving Bel -Air Drive from Cloud Street to Cloud Street, provided for in Ordinance
Number 6401.
Commissioner Exline moved that Plans and Specifications be approved and
City Clerk advertise for bids to be received up to and including January 19th, 1960
at four o'clock P. M.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled-: "An ordinance pro-
viding for the amendment of Zoning Ordinace Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map
therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within
the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6404.
Petition presented for the rezoning of North 26 feet and 8 inches of Lot 5,
Block 8, Leavenworth Addition from Zone "D" to Zone "F".
Commissioner Jaeger moved to r efer to City Planning Commission.

maintenance and use of drainage ditch facilities on and across the Railroad Company's
right-of-way at Railroad Mile Post 4 10, McPherson Branch Tracks, near Salina, Kansas.

A Resolution was introduced and passed, rela ting to Agreement with Union
Pacific Railroad Company, covering the construction, maintenance and use of drainage
ditch facilities on and across the Railroad Company's right-of-way at Railroad Mile
Post 4.10.9 McPherson Brach, near Salina, Kansas".
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 2291.
Fetter received from Kansas State Board of Health relating to report on Sewage
Treatment Plant in Salinas Kansas.
Ordered filed by Commissioner Ramsey.
Letter received from Tol Lillard, Jr. regarding Lot 129 on Eighth Street
and Lot 123 on Seventh Street, Original Town of Salina, Kansas;. Both lots are
affected by the proposed plan of off-street parking.
Ordered filed by Commissioner Jaeger.
49 Applications for Cereal Malt Beverage License for the year 1960 were
presented. Same having been approved by the Police Department.
Commissioner Jaeger moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Beer Applidation Number 58, filed by Wm. D. Alldaffer, d/b/a "Bill's Rainbo
Lounge at 636 South Broadway was not approved. Building does not meet requirements
of City Ordinance. Held over.
The following Appraisers Reports w ere filed :
For the construction of sewers provided for in Job 384.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to approve for Hearing, January 19th, 1960 at
four o'clock P. M.
For curbing, guttering and/or paving certain streets provided for in Job 387.
