Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissionrs McCune, Exline„ Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Bull absent. The minutes of the Regular Meetiagof November 24th, 1959 and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals of November 24t , 1959, were read and approved as read. Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for Guard Fence (Flood Protection) as follows: Armco Drainage & Metal Products, Inc. Topeka, Kansas $8,131.00 B & D Constr uction Company, Salina, Kansas $8,928.25 L. W. Rexroad and. Son, Salina, Kansas $9,977.00 Wilson Constructors, Salina, Kansas $11,998.00 Fosco Fabricators, Inc., Chicago, Illinois $132459.50 • Engineer 's Estimate $15s440.00 Commissioner Ramsey moved that contract be awarded to Armco Drainage & Metal Products, Inc., as per bid submitted in the sum of $8,431.00, and checks returned to unsuccessful bidders. Contract for Guard Fence introduced for first reading. (Contract ordinance) Ordinance passed: 3 t l 1 Number The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2290, filed by R. L. Thorpfor permission to operate Trailer Park on Lot 6 to 21, Block 11; Lots 1 to 15 in Block 2, and Lot 11, 13 and 15 in Block 3, in Holiday Addition be denied. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and petition denied. Recommending that Petition Number 2303 filed by Verner Smith for the rezoning of Lot 12, and East 40 feet of Lot 10, on Kirwin Avenue in the Grounds of Kansas Wes- leyan University Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B" be approved. Commissioner Exline moved to accept and publish Notice. Reported on Petition Number 2308 filed by Kenneth J. Nordboe for the rezoning of all of Nordboe Sub -Division to Zone "B" and for special permission to use said Sub -Division for Trailer Court privileges, as follows: Recommending that Lot 1, and the east 25 feet of Lot 2, in Block 1, be rezoned from "A" to "B", and that special permission be granted pursuant to Section 13 of the • Zoning Ordinances to use the remainder of said Nordboe Sub -Division for Trailer Court purposes. An ordinane was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezonixg of certainproperty within the City and prescribing the proper uses thereof."
