NOVEMBER 17, 1959
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners November 17, 1959. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and. City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of November 10th 1959 and Meetin of
Board of Zoning Appeals of November 10th, 1959 w erezead and approved as read.
Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for
$1,418,803.28 principal amount of General Improvement Bonds, Series S-181, P-182 and
P-183 of the City of Salina, Kansas, as follows:

Commissioner Ramsey moved to award bid to City National Bank and Trust
Company; this bid being the lowest interest cost t6 City; and return bid checks
of unsuccessful bidders. Carried .
An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance
authorizing and providing for the issuance of Improvements Bonds of the City of
Salina, Kansas, all in the sum of $910,563.15, to pay the cost of improving certain
streets in said city, tobe designated as Series Number P-182."

Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to pay the cost thereof
pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Bull the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its finalad±option the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exliie , Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered 6388. •
Petition Number 2307 for the vacation of alley that abuts the property of

Recommending that Petition Number 2287 filed by M. L. Michaelsen for the

Salina, Kansas, from Class "A" to Class "B" be approved.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept.
• Agreement entered into between the County of Saline and the City of Salina in
Saline County, Kansas, establishing the method of providing funds for the Joint City -
County Board of Health and superseding a joint agreement of the 28th day of June 1955•

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, Novemrer 17th, 1959. Meeting was
called to order by Mayo McCune., the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull,
Exline,Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
Hearing was held on Notice of Appeal filed by Myrtle Armbruster for non-compli-
ance with the Insufficient Yard Requirements for North 60 feet of Lot 21, plus 10 feet
of vacated street on Claflin Avenue, Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan Univer-
sity, to the City of Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
A -resolution was introduced and passed entitled : A resolutionrelating to
non-compliance of Zoning Ordinance with the Insufficiert Yard Requirements for the
North 60 feet of Lot 21, plus 10 feet of vacated street on Claflin Avenue, Addition
to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University, City of Salina, Kansas."

for non-compliance with Insufficient Side Yard Requirements for Lot 39, East Jewell,
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan Univer sity, to the City of Salina, ansas.
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution relating to
non-compliance of Zonirr Ordinance with the Insufficient Side Yard for Lot 39, East Jewell,
Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan Univer sity, to he City of Saliva, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,
Bull, Exlire, Jaeger and Exline. (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 2256.
Hearing was held on Notice of Appeal filed b Fred H. Kramer, for non-compliance
with the portion of garage that will extend into required side yard of house for West 76
feet of Lot 7, Block 3, Countryside Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution relating to
