Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exlia, Ramsey and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta respozaded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of August 11th, 1959 and Zoning Board Meeting of August 11th, 1959, were read and approved as read. Kansas State Highway will present Salina Safety Report and award. Hearing on proposed assessments for Sunset Manor Addition. Resolution Number 2178 - Job Number 388. Approved by Commissioner Exlire. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled : "An ordinance cre- ating and defining a certain lateral sanitary sewer district in the City of Salina, Kansas, designated as Lateral Sanitary Sewer District Number 395, and providing for the construction of a la eral sanitary sewer in said Lateral Sanitary Oewer District Number 395, so created and providing for the payment of the cost thereof and for the levy- ing of special assessments against the property insaid district for the payment of the cost of such construction and for the issuing of bonds to pay the cost thereof." • On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, ExlinR, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays': (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6363. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled : "An ordinance providing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance Number 5519 and the Zonin District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper uses then eof.11 On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read. and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6364. The following letter s received from the City Plannin Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2250 filed by the Union Pacific Railroad Company for the rezoning of all that part of Blocks 3, 4 and 9 in Chicago Addition to the City o_. Salina, Kansas, that is bounded on the Northwest and Northeast by the Union Pacific Railroad Tracks constituting the Plainville "Y"; and bounded -on the south by the Main Line of the Union Pacific Railroad, from Zone "F" to Zone "G" be approved. Commissioner Exlin moved to accept and City Clerk publish notice. Recommending that Petition Number 2259 filed: by Glenn Alley from the rezoning of Lots 23 and 25, Block 3 in River side Park Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B" be approved. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. Recommending that Petition Number 2261 filed by Otis W. Kouns, J.A. Wymore and H. D.Fisk for the inclusion within the City limits of the City of Salina, Kansas, of certain properrty located in Section 11, Township 14, flange 3 West,Saline County, Kansam be approved. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept. Recommending that Petition Number 2249 filed by Pail B. Adrian for the accept- ance of the plat and inclusion into the corporate limits of Salina,tansas of Ingermanson Heights Second Addition, be approved as submitted. Commissioner Jaeger -moved to accept, subject to requirements.
