Meeting was called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull and Jaeger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Exline and Ramsey absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 9, 1959 w ere read and approved as read. Hearing was held on petition filed for Trailer Court at Number 9, College Court. Commissioner Jaeger moved to hold over for one week. Hearing.was held for the rezoning of the following property: Lots 11 through 19 inclusive and the East 40 feet of Lot 20, Block 3, Wilbre • Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas to Zone "F". Lots 1 to 10 inclusive, Block 3, Wilbre Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, from Zone "A" to Zone "C". Lot 1 in Block 1; Lot 1 inBlock 2, the West 30 feet of Lot 20, Block 3, and all of Lot 21 inBlock 3, Wilbre Addition to the City of Salina., Kansas to Zone "D". On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll.was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Ramsey absent. Mayor approve the ordinance and it is Numbered 6343. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: ,"An ordinance relating to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Intercepting Sewer "AG" and Lateral Sanitary Sewer Districts Numbered 374, 375, 3762 377, 378 and 379, and relatin; to and providing for the collection and payment of such ass essments. On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes : McCune, Bull and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissiomrs Exline.and Ramsey absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6344. A resolution was introduced andpassed:^6mtitled: "A Resolution determining the advisability of certain street improvements, estimating the cost thereof,defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of assessment, and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the City at laige.t1 On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was. adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll w as called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Ramsey absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbere d 2175. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution determining the advisability of certain str eet, sewer and sidewalk improveme ts, a stimating the cost thereof, defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of assess- ment and apportioning the cost between the improvement district and the City at large." On motion of Commissioner Bull the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull and Jaeger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Ramsey absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2176. City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for the construction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 393• Approved by Commissioner Commissioner Jaeger moved that the City Clerk advertise for bids to be received up to and including June 30th, 1959 for the curbing, guttering and paving the follow- ing streets in Lamer's lot Subdivision of the City of Salina, Kansas;: Willis Avenue from Haskett Avenue to Hageman; Maple Avenue from Haskett Ave ue to Hageman; Garden Avenue from Haskett Avenue to Hageman; Hageman Avenue from south line of slab on Broadway Boulevard to Garden Avenue; Haskett Avenue from Willis Avenue to Talley Pri.ve; Talley Drive from Haskett Avenue to Ingman Road. Water Conservation discussion. Held over until next meeting. published. in the Salina Journal bids were received for Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept bid from Long -McArthur. Commissioner Jaeger moved that City Engineer prepare a Feasibility Report for the following improvements in Shalimar Plaza Addition: Paving Marc Street from Alrert to Pentwood Drive. Paving Lewis Avenue from Albert to Wayne. Paving Buckeye from Lewis to Ohio. Paving Shalimar Drive from Lewis to Ohio. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-969. An ordinance was introduced and read entitled: "An ordinance mkaing an appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
