Commissioner Exline absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of June 2, 1959 w ere read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance rati- fying and confirming a contract with C. N. McCollum, doing businees as McCollum Con- struction Company for the construction of Main Sanitary Sewer "AH" and "AI" and "AJ" and Lateral Sanitary Sewers Numbered 379, 380, 381, 382, 390, 391 and 392, together with two Pumping Stations for Main Sewers 11AH" and "AI", and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds." A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : ;A Resolution relating to authorization of use of certain lots as a Trailer Court within the City, unde Section 13, Ordinance Number 5549." • On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune, Bull, Jaeger and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2173 . Notice of Hearing for concrete paving; Sanitary Sew ers and Concrete Sidewalks in Belmont Addition. PUBLIC HEARING ON ADVISABILITY OF IMPROVEMENTS , Project SB ------ 391 The Board of Commissioners of the City of Salina, Kansas, met in the Commission- ers Room of the City Hall on the 9th day of June 1959 at 4:00 P. M. for the purpose of conducting a public hearing on the advisability of the following improvements: 1. The curUng, guttering and paving of: (a) Belmont Boulevard from the west line of Roach Street to the west line of Mayfair Drive. (b) Roach Street from the south line of Belmont to the south line of Lot 5, Block 13, Belmont Addition. (c) Edward Street from the south line of Belmont to the • south line of Lot 5, Block 16, Belmont Add ition. (d) Wesley Street from the south line of Norton Street to the south line of Lot 5, Block 18, Hrlmont Addition. Betz for permission to construct a trailer court on the West 75 feet of Lot 2, Surveyor's Plat 8, (1501 East Iron Avenue) be denied. Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept and petition denied. Recommending that preliminary plat of Jarvis Addition be approved as submitted- subject,however, to the approval of easements by the City Engineer. Commissioner Jaeger moved to accept and Mayor sign. Recommending that Petition Number 2174 filed b Samuel Gardenhire for the rezoningof East 1/2 of Block 1, inCalkins Addition be denied. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and petition denied. Recommending that Petition Number 2218 filed by Duane H. Wallace for the rezoning of Lot 1, Bel -Air Sub -Division to the City of Salina, Kansas, f rom "A" to I'D" be approved. Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice. • The following petitions w ere: presented and on motion of Commissioner Jaeger referred to City Planning Commission: For rezonin,�._Lots 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8 and 16 Block 3, Shalimar Plaza Addition to "B" Duplex, a nd theVrezoning of Lots 9.,l0,,ll.,l2.,l3.,l4 and 15 Block 3, Shalimar Plaza Addition to "C" Multiple Family. For rezoning Block 10, Riker Addition to t he City of Salina, K ansas from the present zoning to "D". Protesting location of trailer court on Lots 17,l8,l9,20,13,l4, Block 2, Tucker Park Addition and Block 49, Military Addition. Application presented for driveway at 622,621, 626 and 628 South Front Street . two 33 -feet wide, filed by Douglas G. Hill, Inc., Approved by Commissioner Bull. City Engineer filed Final -�'stimate in the amount of $3,537.80 to 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company for construction of sanitary sewers provide for in Engineer Job Number 377. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Applications for Uereal Malt Beverage License received as follows: Kenneth M. Richardson, d/b/a "Don's Lounge"` 201 South Santa Fe Avenue. C. M. Hake d/b/a "Rain Bo Uardens" 636 South Broadway. Applications approved by Commissioner Jaeger. (e) Kensington Street from the east line of Quincy Str eet to the south line of Lot 10, Block 20, Belmont Addition. (f) Mayfair Drive from the east line of Quincy to the south line of Lot 81 Block 21, Belmont Addition.
