On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was r ead and adopted:by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

ordinance and it is Numbered 6331.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with King Construction Company for the construc-
tion of Channel Crossings- Phase II in the City of Salina, Kansas, heretofore desig-
nated as Channel Crossings - II, and providing for the issuance of temporary notes to
pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
McCune, Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance
and it is Numbered 6332.

fying and confirming a contract with Brown and Brown Construction Company for the
construction of oertain curbing, guttering, paving and grading improvements on certain
streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the issuance of temporary
notes to pay the cost thereof.pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:

ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Holida Street Thirty-three
(33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb with two inch hot asphalt mix
over a six (6) inch crushed rock base, from the south line of South Street to the west
line of Clark Street."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: McCune,
Bull, Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numlvred 2168.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Iowa Street With 88iePnid,
thirty-three (33) feet wide fromback of curb to back of curb, from the north line of
Iron Avenue to the south line of Gypsum Avenue."

Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioars May 26th, 1959. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioars McCune, Bull,
Exline, Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 1959 and Zoning Board Meeting of
May 19th, 1959 were read and approved as read.
An.ordinttnce was introduced for second reading entitled :"An ordinance levy-
ing assessments on lots, pieces and parcels of ground in the City of Salina, Kansas
for the purpose of paying a portion.of the cost of the paving with 6" reinforced con-
crete of streets inEdgemere Addition, except Willow and Redwood Drive, from Lot 13,
Block 5, south, Birch Drive from Lot 10,BIL6ck 8 South , Hemlock Drive from Lot 8,
Block 9 South, and Cherokee from Pueblo to Republic; the paving with 6" reinforced
concrete of all streets inSunset Manor except those on the east side of Broadway
Boulevard; the paving with ' reinforced concrete of all streets in Likins-Foster

Addition , except Oak Street from Pawnee midway to Bachtold Avenue; the paving with
7" concrete pavement on Crawford Avenue from the west line of Steahlin Avenue to the

Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition
Number 2185, filed byClaude A. Melvin for permission to establish a trailer park in
part of Melvin Addition be approved, provided, that only onetrailer be parked on
each space indicated on diagram.
Commissioner Bull moved to accept and City Clerk publish Notice for Hearing.
City Manager reported on Petition Number 2229 for vacation of alley between Lots
17 and 18 on Montrose Avenue. Recommended by City Manager,
Commissioner Exline moved that ordinance be introduced

Commissioner Bull moved to refer to City Planning Commission.

Meeting -of Board of Zoning Appeals, May 26th2 1959. Meeting was called to
order by Mayor McCune, the roll was called and Commissioners McCune, Bull, Exline,
Jaeger and Ramsey and City Attorney barta responded.
Hearing was held on Appeal Notice filed by C.C. Shank for non-compliance with
the Rear Yard Requirements, for Lot 1 and North two (2) feet of Lot 2, Block 5,
Morningside Addition, City of Salina, Kansas. (630 East Wilson)

A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution relating
