Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meetin of March 31, 1959 and Zoning Board Meeting of March 31, 1959 w ere read and approved as read. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance describ- ing the place of installation of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas r' On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune,namsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6313. An ordinance�ns introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- • ing for the amendment of Zonin Ordinance Number 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing forthe rezonig of certain property within the City and prescribing the proper us es thereof." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and W enger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6314. Commissioner Exline moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first re adirg. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept their proposal for $5,000.00. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled: "A Resolution dete rmining • the advisability of certain street improvements, estimating the cost ther eof, defin- ing t e boun.aries of the improvement district, method of assessment, and apportioning the cost bet ween the improvement district and the City at large." On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Ex - line, McCune , Ramsey and Wenger (5 ) Nays: (0) ,Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered c: 2140. A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution determining the advisability of oertain street, sanitary sewers and sidewalk improvements, estimat- ing the cost thereof, defining the boundaries of the improvement district, method of assessment, and apportioning the cost between the improvement distkict and the city at large." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Ex - lire, McCue, Ramsey and Wenger (5 ) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 21.11. Agreement entered into between the City of Salina, Kansas and the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for lowering and re -locating toll cables in connection with flood control project, for the amount of $9488.83. Commissioner- Wenger moved to approve.
