The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 17th, 1959 were r ead and approved as read. No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of Lots 34 and 35,Block 4, Riverside Park Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B". Commissioner McCune moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: _ - % Number An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance ratify- ing and confirming a contract with King Construction Company for the construction of a bridge in the City of 5alira , Kansas, heretofore designated as the DryCreek Diversion Channel Bridge, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi- nance and it is Numbered 6306. City Manager reported on the following petitions: 2144 Curb and gutter Elmore Urive from Crawford to Prescott. 75% Commissioner McCune moved that Resolution be introduced for first reading. Resolution Passed: '-3 Number 2153 Paving with hot mix Clark Street in Holiday Addition. 100% Commissioner McCune moved that resolution be introduced for first reading. Petition presented for concrete paving Mohawk from Republic to Franklin. Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Manager. Petition presented for sewer to serve Block 32, Military Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas . Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City manager. Petition for rezoning Lot 1 and North 5 feet Lot 2, Block 8, Stack Place Addition from Zone "A" to Zone "B". Commissioner Exline moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Commissioner Wenger moved that City Engineer prepare a feasibility report for the following improvements in Claremont Heights Addition: Concrete Paving Sanitary Sewer Concrete Sidewalks., to assist the Board of Commissioners in determining the feasibility and desirability of such improvements, general nature of the proposed improvement; the estimate of probable cost, the boundaries of the improvement district, the method of assessment, the apportionment of cost, if any, between the district and the City of Salina at large,and whether such improvement should be made as proposed or otherwise, or in combination with other improvements authorized by Chapter 99, Session Laws of 1957, State of Kansas .
