02-17-1959 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. FEBRUARY 17, 1959 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 17, 1959. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February 10th, 1959 and Zoning Board Meeting of February 10th, 1959 were read and approved as read. Bids on Dry Creek Diversion Channel Bridge. Tabulated by City Engineer. Commissioner Wenger moved to approve bid of King Construction Company, Hesston, Kansas, as low bidder of $45,510.00 and return bid bonds. Contract Ordinance introduced for first reading. Ordinance passed: _y 1 � Number An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: 'tAn ordinance for the vacation of North and South Alleys within the City of Salina., Saline County, Kansas." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune , Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6305. Vanderbilt Addition plat approved by the City Planning Commission. Commissioner Wenger moved to approve. Bids on Water Pipe. Salina Supply Company. 10,000 feet of 6" cast iron pipe at $1.94 Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading relat- ing to Condemnation of Flood Control, Section 5. Amended petition for rezoning of Lots 1 and 2 to "D"; Lots 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10, 11,12,13,14,15 inclusive in Block 9 too "C"; Lots 1 and 12 Block 5 to "B"; all in Faith Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas . For rezoning North 30 feet of South 90 feet, less the West 115.15 feet thereof of Lot 7, Surveyor's Plat "C" in the City of Salina, Kansas, from "C" to "D". Applications for Cereal Malt Beverage License received as follows: Robt. D. Weis, d/b/a "The Den" 226 South Santa i'e Avenue. Approved by Commissioner McCune subject to Health Department approval. Salina Country Club, East IronAvenue. Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. The following letters received from City Planning Commission: Recommending that Petition Number 2118 filed by John W. Srna for the rezoning of Lots 1 through 8 inclusive in Vanderbilt Addition from "A" to "B`" be approved. Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept and City Clerk advertise for Hearing. Recommending that Petition Number 2146 filed by C. C. Holm,Sr. for the rezoning of East 1/2 of Lot 33 and all of Lot 35, Russell Avenue in the Addition to the Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan University Addition from "A" to "B" be approved.
