Regular Meet ing of the Board of Commissioners January 20, 1959. Meeting
ras called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger,
'.xlim , McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 13t:`., 1959 were read and approved
as read.
A letter was received from the City Planning and Zoning Commission recommending
that Petition Number 2129 filed by M. C. Michaelsen for the approval of the plat of
Worsley Addition and the annexation thereof within the City limits be approved, pro-
vided, however, that the petitioner will dedicate to the City of Salina, Kansas, for
street purposes the West 20 feet of Lot 11 and the East 40 feet of Lot 10, all in
Block 6 of said addition, for the extension of Tulane Avenue.
Approved by Commissioner Wenger.
City Manager reported on t he following petitions: •
2124 For paving Franklin Street from Custer to Sheridan. 100%
Commissioner Exline moved that resolution be introduced for first reading.

2133 For curbing, guttering and concrete paving of South Ohio Street from
Stack Avenue to Greeley Avenue. 50%
Commissioner McCune moved that resolution be introduced for first reading.

Commissioner Wenger moved.that ordinance be introduced for first reading
entitled : "An ordinance defining the manner and place of construction of the lines
of the Southwestern Bell Telephone Company and providing for an annual payment to be
made to the City of Salina, Kansas.".

Petition presented for the rezoning of a tract of land north and east of
the Northeast intersection of Ohio and Crawford Streets to Zone "D", and
A tract of land north and west of the Northwest intersection of Ohio and
Crawford Streets to Zone "D".
Commissioner Exline moved to refer to City Planning Commission.
Petition presented for the rezoning of the East 1/2 of Lot 33 and all of Lot •
35, Russell Avenue, Addition to Grounds of Kansas Wesleyan Addition from "A" to "B"
for tw-family dwelling.
Norton.
Commissioner Exline moved to refer to City Panning Commission.
Petition for sidewalks on the north side of Max Avenue from Quincy to Norton.
Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Manager.
Petition for curb, gutter and paving with.hot mix, Max Avenue from Quincy to
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager.
Petition for sewer in the 1000 Block on North Twelfth Street.
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager.
Mayor appointed Carl Ramsey, City's representative on Community Chest.
An ordinance was introduced and passed e titled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; •
Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays:. (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-944.

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Jaeger, Ramsey, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered A-945.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
