DECEMBER 30, 1958
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 30, 1958. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Ex -
line, McL;une,Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded.
Commissioner McCune moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first reading.

A resolution was introduced and passed approving Report of Commissioners in
Case No. 22018 in the District Court of Saline County, Kansas, dated December 24th,
1958, relating to Flood Control.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution
and it is Numbered 2108.
A resolution was introduced and passed providing for the issuance of Temporary
Notes for payment of the construction and development of the Flood Control System,
amd forthe payment of damages allowed for injury to property and the costs of right-
of-way and construction contracts.
On motion of Commissioner namsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline, McCune,Kamsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and
it is Numbered 2109.
• An ordinance was introduced for first reading entitled: "An ordinance pre-
scribing the salaries of certain officers of the City of Salina, Ka sas, and repealing
Sections 1-602 to 1-609,both inclusive of Ordinance Number 6113.

Commissioner Exline moved that applications be approved and license granted.
Petition presented for the curbing, guttering and paving of South Ohio from
Stack tivenue to Greeley Avenue.
The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner Ramsey
referred to City Manager:
Curbing, guttering and paving with concrete Garden Avenue from Hageman to
Haskett.
Paving with concrete of Talley Avenue from Haskett to Ingman Road.
• Curbing and gutte ing of Willis tivenue from Haskett to Hageman Avenue.
Paving with concrete of Haskett Avenue from Willis to Garden 'venue.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting.of December 23, 1958 were read and approved
as read.
Bids received for Fire Department Station Wagon as follows:

Commissioner McCune moved to award bid to Jim Sullivan Chevrolet Company.
No persons appeared to protest the rezoning of certain property in Talley Addi-
tion from "A" to "F"., petition filed byDoyle F.Yockers; the rezoning of the Rocket
Motel Company from "A" to "D", petition filed by Aaron N. Zemler; , and rezoning of
Tracts 2, 3 and 4 inSurveyor's Plat 51 from "A" to "F", petition filed by J.S. Frank.

On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Jaeger, Exline, McCune,Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordi-
nance and it is Numbered A-940.
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Special Meeting of the Board of Commissioners December 30, 1958. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger,
Exline, McCune,Aamsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded.
Hearing was held for the purpose of acting on Appraisers Reports for the con-
struction of Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number 373 and Main Sanitary Sewer "AF", (Engineer
Job Number 373)•
Commissioner Wenger moved that Appraisers Reports be adopted as read.
On motion of eommistioner Ramsey the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
