Regular.Meeting of the.Board of Commissioners. October 21, 1958.. Meeting was
called.to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll.was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline,
McCune, Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Wenger abs ent.
The minutes.of the Regular Meeting of October 14, 1958 and Meeting of Board of
Zoning Appeals w --ere read and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled- "A Resolution relat-
ing to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Marymount.Road with concrete,
Forty (40) fee wide. from back of curb to back of curb, from the south line of Lot 9,
Block 2, Country.Club Addition to the south line of Ruskin Road."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline, McCune .and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor
approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2085. •
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled : "A Resolution re-
lating_to the curbing,. guttering, paving.and grading of Mar
ylaount Road with concrete?
Forty (40) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the south line of Iron
Avenue to the south line of Lot.9, Block 2,_Country Club Addition."
On motion of.Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called.and the.followi.ng vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline., McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor ap-
proved the.resolution and it is Numbered 2086.
City Manager reported on the following petitions:
2089 Concrete paving of. Stack between Ohio and Connecticut. 37%
Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to petitioner.
2198 Curb, gutter and pave North Third Street from Iron Avenue north
to Smoky Hill River. 56%
Commissioner Ramsey moved to approve for resolution.
2109 Concrete paving.North Second Str-:eet from North Street to
Railroad Avenue. 28%
Commissioner Exline moved to refer to petitioner.
No persons appeared to protest Zoning.Ordinance changes for cleaning business.
Commissioner Exline moved to approve and.ordinance introduced for first reading. •
Ordinance passed: Cil Number: Y
No persons appeared to protest the rezoning to "D" of Safeway Stores property
on South Santa Fe Avenue. (400 Block)
Commissioner Exline moved to approve and ordinance introduced for first reading.

Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept. Carried.
The following petitions were presented and on motion -of Commissioner Exline
referred to City Planning Commission:
Rezoning Lots 14, 16, 18, Block 1, College View Addition from "A" Residential
to "B" for duplexeas .
Rezoning Lots 34 and 35, Block 40 Riverside Park Addition from "A" to "B".
Commissioner Ramsey moved to accept bid from.Salina Supply Company for 7200
feet of six-inch cast iron pipe. Carried.
An ordinance. was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims." •

On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Jaeger., F:uline, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-931.
On motion of Commis.sioner.Exline the.Board of Commissioners adjourned.

Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals, October 21, 1958. Meeting was called
.to order.by Mayor Jaeger,.the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, £aline,
McCune and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Wenge absent.
Hearing was held on Appeal Notice filed by C. W. Reed, for non-compliance
with the Rear and Side Yard Requirements of Ordinance Number 5549, Section 6 for:
South 48.5 feet of East 70 feet of Lot 4, Block 31 Leavenworth Addition to
the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas. (121 North Chicago)
No protests:
A resolution was introduced and passed entitled : "A Resolution relating
to the authorization of non-compliance with the Rear.and Side Yard Requirements of
Section 6 of Ordinance Number 5549 for South 48.5 feet of East 70 feet of Lot 4,
Block 3, Leavenworth Addition to the City of Salina., Saline County, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and
on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Jaeger, Exline, McCune. and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) ,Commissioner Wenger absent.
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 2087.
