Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of September 2, 1958 wereread and approved as read. Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for City of Salina, Gypsum Hill Water Supply, as follows: PHASE III Booster Pumping Equipment Lappin Irrigation Equipment $3,372.50 Wichita Pump and Supply $44854.00 Salina Supply Company $4,073.61 • Layne Western Company $3,480.00 Engineer's Estimate $5,500.00 Commissioner Wenger moved to refer bids to Wilson &Company, Engineers, to check and report at next meeting. PHASE II Tank Foundations and Booster Station Wilson Constructbrs $25,987.00 Engineer s Estimate $26,500.00 Commissioner McCune moved to award contract to Wilson Constructors as per bid submitted in the sum of $25,987.00. Letter presented from City Planning Commission approving amending Section lila of Zoning Ordinance. , �� Commissioner Ramsey moved- Letter ovedLetter presented from City Planning Commission regarding Safeway Stores rezoning. Commissioner Wenger moved to approve and City Clerk advertise for thirty days hearing. City Manager reported on Petition Number 2064 for curbing, guttering and • concrete paving East North Str eet east of Missouri Pacific Railroad Tracks to Ohio Street. Commissioner Ramsey moved that resolution be introduced for first reading. l E� Resolution passed: Number Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be moi' amending Milk Ordinance to five miles outside of City limits. Approved for resolution: Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway Company to use land for Flood Control Project for $1.00. (Commissioner Wenger) State Safety Awards program explained. The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner referred to City Managers Curb, gutter and hot mix paving Quincy from Leslie to Wayne, Curb, gutter and concrete paving Albert from Roach to Ohio. Application for Trailer Court fronting on Duvall Avenue. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Planning and Zoning Commission. Application for Cereal Malt .Beverage License received from Frances Maher, d/b/a "Brass Rail" 116 West Ash Street. Commissioner McCune moved that application be approved and license granted. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-924.
