SEPTEMBER 2, 1958
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners September 2, 1958. Meeting
was called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and.Commissioners Jaeger,
Exline, McCune and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Wenger
absent.
The minute :s of the Regular Meeting. of August 26, 1958 were read and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance relat-
ing to and apportioning and levying special assessments on certain lots and pieces of
ground in the City of Salina, Kansas, to pay the cost of constructing Lateral Sanitary
Sewer District Number 366, and relating to and providing for the colle(ttion and payment
of such assessments."
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; •
Ayes: Jaeger, Exli.ne, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays; (0) Commissioner Wenger absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6268.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance describ-
ing the place of installation of certain siddwalks in the City of Salina, Kansas:."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Jaeger, Exline, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6269.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the paving and grading of Dover Drive Twenty-eight (28) feet wide from t oe of gutter
to toe of gutter, with two (2) inch hot as phalt mix over a six (6) inch crushed rock
base, from the east line of Vassar .Drive to the north line of Windsor Drive."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was: had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays : (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 2075 .
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relating
to the paving and grading of Jewell Avenue with concrete:, Twenty -Eight (28) feet wide
from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from tie east line of Santa Fe Avenue to the west
line of Fourth Street."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
Exline, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 2076. •

d/b/a "Fifth Street Recreation" 113 North Fifth Street. •
Commissioner Ramsey moved that application be approved and license granted.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims".
On motion of Commissioner. Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A -923 -
On motion of Commissioner Exline the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
