JULY 15, 1958
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners July 15, 1958• Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Jaegee, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger,
Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 8th, 1958 wereread and approved
as read.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled "An ordinance
amending Sections 1 and 3 of Ordinance No. 5734, regulating the construction and
erection of television and radio towers and ant6nnan, and repealing said original
sections.
On motion of Commissioner Exline the ordinance was, read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline., McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor •
approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6253•
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with Saum Brothers Constructlon Company for
the construction of cer tain sidewalks in the City of. Salina, Kansas , heretofore
designated as Engineering Job 372, and providing for the issuance of Temporary Notes
to pay the cost thereof, pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll wos>cal3wd and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved
the ordinance and it is Numbered 6254•

A petition was. presented for street light at the corner of Guernsey Drive
and East Prescott Road( -i; and one at the intersection of East Prescott Road and the
alley between Block 1 and 2 of Replat of Lots 1-15 inclusive, Garden Home Addition
to the City of Salina, Kansas..
Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to City Manager.
Petition for paving with two-inch asphalt over a six-inch rock base and gut-
tering of Ralph Avenue from west side of Lot 8 Block 4 and the west side of Lot 7,
Block 6 to the west side of Roach Str eet. Addition to Blocks 4 and 6 Southern View
Addition. Also extension of six-inch water. main, same description.
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager.
For paving with two-inch asphalt over a six-inch rock base and curbing and
guttering of Max Avenue from west side of Lot 7 Block 4 to the w es t side of Roach
Street. Addition to Blocks 4 and 6 Southern View Addition. Also the extension of
• 6 -inch wate_- main. Same description.
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager.
Petition for curb, gutter and paving with two-inch hot mix asphalt on six-
inch rock base of Smith Avenue from east line of U. S. Highway 81 By -Pass to west
line of Hageman Street,
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager.
Petition for curb, gutter and paving with two-inch hot mix asphalt on six-
inch rock base of Hageman Street from south line of.Cloud to east line of U.S. High-
way 81 By -Pass .
Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager .
Petition for vacation of alley between Eleventh and Twelfth Streets from

City Engineer filed Final Estimate in the amount of $7423.63 to 0. D. Wilmoth
Construction.Company for South Street Paving Repair. (Job 379).
Approved by Commissioner Wenger.
Wilson and Company, Engineers, filed Estimate Number l in the amount of
$13,572.23 to B & D Construction Compay for Mentor Gage Road Bridge.
Approved by Commissioner Ramsey.
Commissioner Ramsey moved that ordinance be introduced for first reading for
the construction of. Intercepting Sewer "AGK.

appropriation for the payment.of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;

approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-916.
