COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.

Regular Fleeting of the Board of Commissioners Ma 13, 1958• Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Ua6ger , the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger,
McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and %1:ity Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Exline
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of May 6th, 1958 were read and approved
as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution de-
termining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of certain lots construct,
in compliance with plans and specifications of the City Engineer, a sidewalk, abut-
ting said lots within 30 days of the adoption and publication hereof and providing
that in the event t. -e owner or owners fail to do so, that that the City of Salina
shall proceed to construct or cause to be constructed said sidewalk and that the
total cost thereof shall be assessed against such lot or lots on which such sidewalk
shall abut as other speial assessments."
On moti n of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger,
McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. 11'ayor ap-
proved the resolution and it is Numbered 2005.
Commissioner Ramseymoved that City Clerk be instructed to advertise for bids
to be received i�iay 27th, 1958 at four o'clock P. M. for the construction of Lateral
Sanitary Sewer Number 373 and [viain Sanitary Sewer "AF" and for Pumping Station.
Application for recessed parking in front of the East 1/2 of the West 1/2
of Lots 54 and 55, on Front Jtreet, Original Town of Jalina, Kansas, presented from
Busboom and Rauh.
Approved by Commissioner Wenger.
The following petitions were presented and referred to the City Manager:
For sidewalk in Cloud Addition for Lots 15 and 16, Block 7.
Protesting the paving of Stack Avenue from Delaware to Missouri; also curbing
and guttering Stack Avenue from alley east to i�iissouri.
Application from Johnson Builders Inc., for structure under the alley for
National Bank of America.
Approved by Commissioner McCune subject to resolution approving plans and
requirements.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
appropriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had.
Ayes: Jaeger, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline
absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-906.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
