COMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING
COMMISSIONERS ROOM,
SALINA, KANSAS.
MAY 61 1958
Regula r Meeting of the Board of Commissioners May 6th, 1958. Meeting was
called to order by Mayor Jaeger, the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline,
Ramsey and 4enger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner McCune absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April 29th, 1958 were read and approved
as read.
Letter presented from City Planning Commission recommending that petition
presented from George C. Etherington for the inclusion within the City limits of
Salina, Kansas, approximately forty acres of the S. E. 1/4 of Section 25-14-3 be
approved.
Accept by Commissioner Wenger.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
aut orizing the issuance of Internal Improvement Bonds of the City of Salina, .
Kansas, in the amount of $666,000, for the purpose of paying the cost of improve-
ments constituting a part of the Flood Control System of said City and the
damages occasioned by reason thereof and the cost of right-of-way constituting a
part of said system."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was
had: Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
McCune absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6231.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance
ratifying and confirming a contract with the 0. D. Wilmoth Construction Company
for the construction of certain curbing, guttering, paving and grading improve-
ments on ce tain streets in the City of Salina, Kansas, and providing for the
issuance of temporary notesto pay the cost thereof pending the issuance of tem-
porary notes to pay the cost thereof pending the issuance and sale of bonds."
On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by
sections and on its final adoption the roll was called andthe following vote was
had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner
McCune absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6232.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance

City Manager reported on the following petitions:

Commissioner Ramsey moved that resolution be introduced for first reading.

Commissioner Ramsey moved to refer to petitioner.

An ordinance was introduced and passed: "An ordinance making an appropria-
tion for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner 6enger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Jaeger, Exline, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner McCune absent.
Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-904.
An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an
