Meeting was called to order by Mayor Jaeger the roll was called and Commissioners Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of April.15t , 1958; and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals of April 15t , 1958 were read and approved as read. . Pursuant to Notice published in the Salina Journal bids were received for construction of Mentor Bridge as follows: Bids tabulated by Engineers. B & D Construction Company $73,250.00 Wilson Constructors $76,750.00 Engineer's Estimate $77,859.00 • Commissioner Ramsey moved to award contract to B & D Construction Company and return other bid. On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1992. "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering and grading of Stack Avenue from the west line of First Alley east of Delaware Avenue to the east line of Missouri Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Exline the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: gaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1993• "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Wilson Street with concrete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the • east line of Custer Street to the west line of Sherman Street." City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for curbing, guttering and hot asphalt mix paving on certain streets provided for in Engineer Job 369. Accept by Commissioner Exline, bids to be received, Aril 29th, 1958, at four o'clock P. M. Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Number 2010 filed by Salina Building Company, Inc., for the zoning of Holiday Addition be ap- proved, also that petitioners be givenspecial permission to construct a bowling alley on said tract. Commissioner Wenger moved to accept, except that Block 3 be rezoned to Zone "F". Letter received from City Planning Commission recommending that Petition Number 2001 filed by GarrySmith for the Verner Smith Agency for rezoning of Lot 6 in Lamer's First Sub -Division from Zone "A" to General Business "E" be denied. Accept by Commissioner McCune and petition denied. Plat presented for Belmont Addition. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Petitions on Belmont Addition for sidewalks, water, sewers and curb, gutter and guttering. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager. Petition for inclusion of Belmont Addition to City limits. Commissioner McCune moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Petition for sidewalks on the south side of 800 Block on East Minneapolis Avenue. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager. Petition for hot mix paving on Twelfth Street from Pacific to Harsh. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager. Petition protesting concrete paving of Stack "venue from Delaware to Missouri; and for curbing and guttering Stack "venue from alley, east to Ohio. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Manager. Wilson and Company , Engineers, filed the following estimates: McCollum Construction Company, Pump Station Approved by Commissioner McCune. Engineer approval on Change Order No. 1, Approved by Commissioner McCune. $8,990.00 $27,900.00 $1,871.21 Mausoleum Deed for the sale of Crypt Number 451 to Kenneth R. Ryan, was presented. Change in Certificate to Plat in Southern View Addition was presented. Commissioner McCune moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Agreement with Southwestern bell Telephone Company for Flood Control. Approved by Commissioner Wenger. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer the matter of Float in Centennial Parade to City Manager. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appropriation for the payment of cer tain claims." On motion of Commissoner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Jaeger, Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (5) Nays: (0) Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-902. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an appro- priation for the payment of certain claims."
