03-25-1958 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING • COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. MARCH 25, 1958 Regular Meeting of the Board of oommisskoners March 25, 1958. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Jaeger absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 18th, 1958 and Meeting of Board of Zoning Appeals were read and approved as read. A resolution was introduced forsecond reading entitled: "A "esolution determining necessity of and directing that the owner or owners of certain lots construct, in compliance with plans and specifications of the City Engineer, a side- walk, abutting said lots within 30 days of the adoption and publication hereof and providing that in the event the owner or owners fail to do so, that the City of Salina shall proceed to construct or cause to be constructed said sidewalk and that the total cost thereof shall be assessed against smch lot or lots on which such • sidewalk shall abut as other special assessments." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, McCune, Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Jaeger absett. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1941 Commissioner Ramsey moved that resolution be introduced for first reading for the paving of alley between Seventh and Eighth from Mulberry to South. The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner McCune referred to the City Manager: Curb and gutter west side of Ohio from Martin Paving with concrete, Johnstown Avenue from Kansas to Ohio. gutter and paving with concrete Millwood Drive from Roach to Ohio. following petition was presented andreferred to the City Planning Commission Protesting the rezoning from "A" to "B", Lot 3, Block 1, Phillips East Addition; East 48 feet of West 146 feet of Lots 1 and 2 Block 1, Phillips East Salina Addition; and East 50 feet of Lots 1 and 2, Block 1, Phillips East Salina Addition. Concrete Construction Bond received from M. Approved by Commissioner Wenger. Petition from Salina Building Company for Plat and Zoning in Holiday Addition. Commissioner Wenger moved to refer to City Planning Commission. Mayor re -appointed Elliot Belden a member of Airport Advisory Board for a tern of three years from December 11th, 1957. Approved by Commissioner Wenger. An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance appropriation for the payment of certain claims." On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sec- tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, McCune,Ramsey and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Jaeger absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-898. On motion of Commissioner Wenger the Board of Commissioners adjourned.
