MARCH 18th, 1958
Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners March 18th, 1958. Meeting
was called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners
Ramsey, McCune, Jaeger and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner
Exline absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of March 11th, 1958; Special Meeting of
March 11th, 1958 and Board of Zoning Appeals Meeting of March 11th, 1958 were read
and approved as read.
A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution re-
lating to the paving and grading of Merrill_Street with concrete, twenty-eight (28)
feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from. the south line of Wilson Street to
the north line of Venango Street."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the resolution was adopted as read and on its •
final adoption the roll was called and the_following.vote was had;. Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger,
McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Acting Mayor approved
the resolution and it is Numbered 1945.
An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance describ-
ing the place of installation of certain sidewalks in the City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Wenger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Act-
ing Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6219.
Letter received from The Kansas Power and Light Company regarding street
lighting on Broadway Boulevard from Ninth to Pacific.
Commissioner McCune moved to hold over and have City Manager check.
City Engineer filed Plans and Specifications for Lateral Sanitary Sewer Number
373; Main Sewer "AF" and for Pumping Station.
Approved by Commissioner Wenger.
The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner McCune
referred to City Manager:
Concrete paving of Arthur from North to Lincoln.
Concrete paving of Viemont from Crawford to Haven.
Concrete paving of Merrill from Republic to Wilson .
Concrete paving of Merrill from Venango to Crawford. •
Concrete paving of Eleventh Street from Hamilton to Antrim.
Hot Mix Asphalt paving on Cedar Street from College to Missouri Pacific
Railroad right-of-way.
Concrete paving of Lincoln from Arthur to Cleveland.
Street light in alley between Tenth and Eleventh from Washington to
Morrison.
To close alley from Pacific to Harsh between Twelfth and Thirteenth.
The following petitions were presented and on motion of Commissioner Wenger
referred to City Planning Commission:
To rezone from "D" to "Ell Storey -Harris land on Broadway Boulevard.
Against rezoning from "D" to "E" Storey -Harris land on Broadway Boulevard.
For the annexation to the City of Salina the SW 4 of SW 9South of River,
18-14-2; Less West 250 feet *h jh is in the City of Salina. (,Nordin property)
Said tract contains approximately 16-73 acres.

A resolution was -introduced and passed: "Accepting Commissioners Report
for Case No. 21739 (Flood Control Project)
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1946.
A resolution was introduced and passed: "Relating to Temporary Notes for
Flood Control Project."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on
its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1947•
Electricians Bond received from John W. Snedker.
Approved by Commissioner McCune.
Letters presented regarding Street Improvements.
Commissioner moved to file.

An ordinance was introduced and passed entitled: "An ordinance making an ap-
propriation for the payment of certain claims."
On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sec-
tions and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had;
Ayes: Ramsey, McCune, Jaeger and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered A-897.
Onmotion of Commissioner Wenger the Board of Commissioners adjourned.

to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Jaeger ,
McCune and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Exline absent.
Hearing was held on Appeal Notice filed by Patricia A. Crawford, for Off -
Street Parking use of Lot 50, on Front Street, Original Town of Salina, Kansas.
No protests.
A resolution was introduced and passed relating to Off -Street Oarking use of
Lot 50, Front Street, Original Town of Salina, Kansas.
On motion of Commissioner Wenger resolution was adopted as read and on its
final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey,
Jaeger, McCune and Wenger (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Exline absent. Acting
Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1918.
