02-11-1958 MinutesCOMMISSIONERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS. FEBRUARY 11th, 1958 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 11th, 1958. Meeting was called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of February lith, 1958 and Meeting of Zoning Board of Appeals of February lith, 1958 were read and approved as read. The following resolutions were introduced for second reading: "A resolution relating to the resurfacing of Ninth Street with two (2) inch hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the south line of North btreet to the south line of Pacific Avenue." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1916. "A resolution relatint to the resurfacing of Santa Fe Avenue_ with two (2) inch hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the north right-of-way line of the Union Pacific Railroad to the north line of Pacific Avenue." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1917. "A Resolution relating to the resurfacing of Ash Street with two (2) inch hot mixed asphaltic concrete from the east line of Seventh Street to the east line of Ninth Street . " On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it Numbered 1918. "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Prescott Avenue with concrete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the east line of Twelfth Street to the east line of Montrose Street." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1919. "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Charles Street with concrete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the east line of Montrose Street to the east line of Phillips Street." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1920. "A Resolution relating to the paving ai,4 grading of Morningside Drive with concrete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter from the east line of Front Otreet to the west line of Sunrise Drive." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners J,xline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1921. "A Resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Roach Street with concrete twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the north line of Manor Street to the south line of Crawford Avenue." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1924. "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Franklin Avenue with concrete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the west line of Ninth Street to the east line of Tenth Street." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor ap- proved the resolution and it is Numbered 1925- "A resolution relating to the curbing, guttering, paving and grading of Lincoln Avenue with concrete, twent -eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gut- ter from the west line of Thirteenth Street to the east line of Reynolds Avenue." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor ap- proved the resolution and it is Numbered 1926. "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Stapler Street with concrete twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the east line of Ohio Street to the west line of Connecticut Avenue." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaege and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Acting Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1927. "A Resolution relating to the paving and grading of Leslie Avenue with con- crete, twenty-eight (28) feet wide from toe of gutter to toe of gutter, from the west line of Simmons Street to the east line of Fourth Street." On motion of Commissioner McCune the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Ramsey, Jaeger and McCune (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and Wenger absent. Letter presented from Clark, Mize and Lillard, regarding Ohio Street as it affects Roy Faith and others. Commissioner Jaeger moved to hold over for Meeting of February 18th, 1958. Application for Cereal Malt beverage License presented from Retha Wise, d/b/a "Don's Tavern " , 201 South Santa Fe Avenue. Commissioner Jaeger moved that application be approved and license granted. Final Estimate Number 6, for Airport. Johnson Brothers $10,882.31 Approved by Commissioner McCune. Letter presented from Mid -States Advertising Agency regarding benches for bus stops. Commissioner McCune moved, not be granted at this time. Carried. Petition presented from Dr. Donald B. Amend for the rezoning of Lots 20, 22 and 24, Block 3, VanTrine's Addition from Zone "B" to Zone "C" for Dental Clinic. Referred to City Planning Commission by Commissioner McCune. Oil Well Bond received fromTom C. gown on JoMar Dairies well. Approved by Commissioner Jaeger. Application for driveways at 111 and 113 West Iron Avenue, presented from National Bank of America. Commissioner McCune moved to refer to City Planning Commission.
