02-04-1958 Minutes• COMMISSTOrTERS PROCEEDINGS, REGULAR MEETING COMMISSIONERS ROOM, SALINA, KANSAS FEBRUARY 4, 1958 Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners February 4, 1958. Meeting was called to order by Mayor Exline, the roll was called and Commissioners Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioner Wenger absent. The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 29th, 1958 and Special Meeting of Janiaru 29th, 1958 were read and approved as read. Notice of Hearing for Trailer Park in part of Talley Addition, held over from January 29th, 1958, was again taken up by the Board of Commissioners. Held over to meeting of February 18th2 1958. A resolution was introduced for second reading entitled: "A Resolution relat- ing to the curbing, guttering and paving and grading of Beverly Drive with concrete, • thirty-three (33) feet wide from back of curb to back of curb, from the east line of Duvall Avenue to the west line of Whittinghill Avenue." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the resolution was adopted as read and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved the resolution and it is Numbered 1915. • [l 0 An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the amendment of Zoning Ordinance 5549 and the Zoning District Map therein and thereby adopted and providing for the rezoning of certain property within the City and prescribing the uses thereof." On motion of Commissioner Ramsey the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0). Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6209. An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance provid- ing for the vacation of a certain portion of the right-of-way for utilities in Inger- manson Heights, within the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas:." On motion of Commissioner McCune the ordinance was read and adopted by sections and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes: Exline, Jaeger, McCune and Ramsey (4) Nays: (0) Commissioner Wenger absent. Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6210. The following Engineer's Estimates were filed: No. 5. McCollum Construction Company Approved by Commissioner McCune. Number 5. Paving a portion of Highland Avenue in Gebhart Manor Addition to the City of Salina, Kansas, fronting upon Lots 11 to 17. inclusive in Block 1, and Lots 1 to7 inclusive in Block 3 of said addition. Concrete Construction Bond presented from Darrel C. Ahlstedt. Approved by Commissioner McCune. Electrician's Bond from Central Kansas Electric Machinery Company. Approved by Commissioner Ramsey, subject to Power of Attorney. Airport Lease presented from MartinZemler, d/b/a Salina Aircraft Service. Approved by Commissioner Ramsey. Commissioner. Commissioner Jaeger moved that appointments be confirmed by the Board of Com- missioners. Roy Williamson and Committee appeared before the Board of Commissioners re- garding Centennial Celebration and requested cooperation of City on Display of banners and other displays, and Carnival Rides. Board of Commissioners assured the Committee that City would cooperate.
