Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners January 2`9; 1958. Meeting was
called to order by Acting Mayor Ramsey, the roll was called and Commissioners Ramsey,
Jaeger and Wenger and City Attorney Barta responded. Commissioners Exline and McCune
absent.
The minutes of the Regular Meeting of January 21, 1958 were read and approved
as read.
Notice of Hearing for frailer Park in part of Talley Addition, held over from
meeting of January 21, 1958, was again taken up by the Board of Uommissioners.
Petition filed January 26th, 1958, protesting the location of a Trailer Park
in part of Talley Addition, City of Salina, Kansas.
Commissioner Wenger moved to hold over for meeting of February 4th, 1958.
• An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled: "An ordinance regulating
garbage and household trash receptacles in the City of Salina, Kansas, providing a penal-
ty for the violation thereof and amending Ordinance Number 6174 of said City."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
Ramsey, Jaeger and Wenger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and McCune absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6207.
Commissioner Jaeger moved that resolution be introduced for first reading relat-
in-, to the curbing, guttering and paving of Beverly Drive from Duvall to Whittinghill.

No persons appeared to protest against the rezoning of Lots 1, 2, 9 and 10, Plat 3
Lamer's Second Sub -Division to the City of Salina, Kansas;.
Commissioner Wenger moved that Zoning Ordinance be introduced for first reading.

An ordinance was introduced for second reading entitled "An ordinance provid-
ing for the condemnation of certain property for the purpose of providing necessary land
and easements, permits and rights for the use of the City of Salina, Kansas, in the
developing, constructing, maintaining and operating of a flood -control system for said
City of Salina, Kansas."
On motion of Commissioner Jaeger the ordinance was read and adopted by sections
and on its final adoption the roll was called and the following vote was had; Ayes:
• Ramsey, Jaeger and Wenger (3) Nays: (0) Commissioners Exline and McCune absent.
Acting Mayor approved the ordinance and it is Numbered 6208.
Eight Pool Hall Applications for 1958, approved by Welfare Board.
Commissioner Jaeger moved that applications be approved and license granted.
11elocation of Utility Easement for Block 7, Ingermanson Heights Addition.
Commissioner Jaeger moved to approve and ordinance be introduced for first reading

Petition presented for concrete paving of Jewell Avenue from Roach to Ohio.
Referred to City Manager by Commissioner Wenger.
